Social media makes this a time when the visual begins to take prominence over the real. Instead of experiencing our lives from our own vantage points, we now see the world from how others will view and respond to our vantage points. When we are all responsible for creating our own media, we are always visible and therefore, always “seen.”

This is one of the many #amazingviews you can get from #GovernorsIsland. This former #military fort is now a beautiful #publicpark. You'll get great #vantagepoints of the #WTC, #StatueOfLiberty and #JerseyCity. The best part is it's super cheap. Round trip tickets will only run you $3! Learn more in my new #YouTube #travelvideo, link in the bio. #governorsislandnyc #i❤️ny (at Statue Of Liberty, Liberty Island, New York City) https://www.instagram.com/p/BorFQB4lRIe/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=j0do7fy1kfd2
This was a test #drawing of #vantagepoints for #backgrounds or #scenery from last year.
Batman has achieved the ultimate vantage point. #batman #vantagepoints #starbucks #arkham
Day 13 Chicago! : I had so much fun in this city and what a city it is. Around every corner there is something going on, music, events, art installations, delicious food and brews. I got to the city at the same time as this huge triathlon was going on, so that added an extra element of excitement, though I’m sure it did raise the hotel prices a bit. I took a lot of pictures for this one. These are only from the first day/night so I will be showing more. Stay tuned.
Meet Change A Heart Member: Dan
Hi! My name is Dan Green and I am from Horsham, Pennsylvania aka “The Sham.” I graduated with a community, environment development degree from Penn State University. During my time at PSU, I was a competing member and fundraising coordinator for the Cross Country Club. I was also heavily involved in THON, Penn State’s 46 hour dance marathon which raises money for pediatric cancer.
Today, I am doing my year of service at Holy Family Academy, a start-up work study school in Emsworth, PA, just outside of Pittsburgh. There, I assist with the work study program by meeting one on one, with students on a daily basis. I speak with them about how work is going, what they can do to improve, what their supervisors can do to improve, and sometimes simply, the things that are going on in their life. Thus far, I am extremely grateful in getting to know these students on a personal level, and truly feel that I am beginning to form the path towards what I would like to be doing for the rest of my life through this year of service.
Quick Facts:
Things I like to do: Sports, running, jogging, walking, and hanging with friends
Favorite thing about Pittsburgh: The sheer number of vantage points in this city are out of this world! >>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iusvvozGXH4
