Cardfight Vanguard decks TAS characters I think would use
I don't think anyone watch Cardfight Vanguard( trading card game anime) except one TAS fan I found but I wanted to think of the type of decks TAS characters would use if they had the game in that world: ( Honestly everything there in that anime is solved by vanguard and that scene of Jaron asking Devlin could they bypass the cruelest method of death by a game of cards made me think of it when I read it for the first time. Lol.)
Actually in brief for those who won't know the card game according to the game story it is completely like a battle between two people usually with attacks and guarding them using armies who use magic and swords taking place on a different planet Cray has all types of fantasy beings. The one with 6 damage loses the game. People on earth imagine themselves as those vanguards on Cray and fight through the card game. ( plot twist planet cray is real they found later. Lol.) There are too many skills that cards can have that gives the advantage in the battles so I am not explaining that.
So planet Cray has countries called Nations and different clans lived in those Nations. ( Yes current rules have changed and clans are combined now representing a Nation as a whole. But I will go with the original series lore that was my favorite where clans are separate.)
A deck usually have units of a single clan. Unless you are some weird character who loves to collect grade 3s of all clans making a completely useless deck. (There was one person who did that. 😅)
So here are the decks of the TAS characters ( I would go with the original nations and clans and not the new ones as the new one removed the clan and only had nations of planet cray as a deck) I haven't decided who will use which card as their main vanguard or their avatars.
• Jaron - Being king he would use Royal Paladins of United Sanctuary nation( A deck which is a clan of knights and have units called King of Knights. Original show's protagonist used it too. ) Though I think Gold paladins being similar clan of knights and royals could be his deck too. Actually he can use Dragon Empire clans of the Dragon Empire nation too as Jaron loves fire. Lol.
• Darius - He also would be Royal Paladin or Gold paladin I think being Prince or king of Belland.
• Amarinda - She could be using Angel Feathers clan ( a clan of healers in United Sanctuary nation and how Amarinda is Tobias's assistant and healed soldiers. Also Angel feather units are pretty and cute too but strong. I think they do have a princess character card.) I think Genesis or Oracle Think Tank of the same nation that has goddesses can work for Amarinda though.
• Tobias - He would use Great Nature deck of the Zoo Nation. ( The clan's theme is knowledge and it consists of animal scholars. Lol. Actually genuises in the vanguard show used it so I thought to give it to Tobias.)
• Roden - I think being captain of the guard he would use knights too but what if he uses Shadow Paladin of the United Sanctuary?( Deck was used by an antagonist who became MC later and most people using that deck in the series are strong cardfighters. Also did I just give the very opposite clan of Royal Paladin to Roden?🤣 The clan has some of the same units of royal paladin or gold paladin but dark versions of it. It is used by MCs too in various seasons. )
• Fink - He is knight too so he would be using Royal Paladin like Jaron probably but of different units( cards).
• Erick, Teagut and all the pirates would use Granblue of the Magallanica nation of Cray. ( The nation has clans living in water or near waters. And Granblue is pirate deck. It has pirates in it. So it is so obvious they would use it.)
• Don't know Mott’s clan but it could be one of the Paladin clan but different cards. ( Actually there is always an important person using Paladin nation in every season and so there are so many people in the vanguard series who use paladin clans. ( Royal/Gold/Shadow))
• I have a deck for Imogen too. Actually it might be surprising to myself but I am giving her one of my favorite decks Neo Nectar of the Zoo Nation ( a favorite MC character in later seasons used it and I used it when I played the mobile version of this card game.) Neo Nectar is a clan of plants and flower lifeforms. They usually have flower focused powers.
• I don't know what to give Wilta but she gives me vibe of a character who uses Pale Moon deck. So I would give Wilta Pale Moon clan of the Dark Zone nation. ( The clan consists of a circus group of performers but are actually assassins. Fits Wilta probably who hid her identity by performing to be nice.) I wanted to have someone use Dark Zone clans. But Wilta might use Witches type card too. ( Genesis and Shadow Paladin of United Sanctuary mostly have that. But those Witches are cute and shadow Paladin Witches was used by someone like Fink in the vanguard show so I don't think I would give Wilta that deck.)
• I don't want to think of what deck Vargan or Kippenger would use but Link Joker was the toughest antagonist clan of the show in two seasons and they might use Link Joker of Star Gate Nation. Mostly because of the Lock mechanic of that deck. No other deck has that mechanic to lock opponent units( cards) more like putting them in chains as they can't be used as far as I remember. The lock means the card can't be used until the opponent's turn ends causing huge disadvantages but there are cards that can unlock units and various clans can do that now but Gold paladin had the skill first.
• I don't know what would Conner use. Being a villain I would give him Dark irregulars of Dark Zone nation that is a clan of lawless lifeforms seeking power I think according to the Cray lore.
