Wave, do I have a surprise for you. Your next opponent! SAMOA!! JOE!!!

Wave had the honor of being Samoa Joe's first opponent in VCW and the crowd were on fire even before the match started. Dualling chants of "Holy shit!" and "This is awesome!" filled the arena when Joe made his entrance after Wave, using his old entrance theme from TNA. He had stopped on the stage and looked around at the crowd filling the seats all around the arena, grinning before he walked on down to the ring.

The match was an instant classic. Both men had put their all into this match and as it was Joe's first match in so long and his first ever in VCW, and Wave did his best to help Joe look like the killer in the ring he always was. They traded stiff, hard shots to each other and hit rough looking moves that popped the crowd each time. It was like Joe never missed a beat at all in the ring.

"Aideen charges at Joe in the corner and-oh! Joe hits a uranage on Wave!" Jace exclaimed at the commentary table as he called the action, "One! Two! Oh and a kickout at two-and-a-half!"

The crowd was roaring their approval for the amazing match they were watching. It had gone on for a solid seventeen minutes and was nearing on the time limit. After Wave kicked out of the pin, Joe dragged him to his feet and the crowd thought he was going to go for a suplex, but Joe grabbed Wave's legs and lifted him up into the air. With a yell, Joe slammed Wave down onto the mat with a Muscle Buster.

After that, Joe went for the pin and hooked the leg. "One! Two! Three! Joe beat Aideen!" Jace called on commentary as the bell rang.

"Here is your winner, Samoa Joe!" The ring announcer called and the crowd let out even louder roar of cheers and applause.

Joe's hand was raised in victory a moment later and he basked in the noise from the crowd. It was good to be back in the ring. Wave slowly crawled to the corner and propped himself up to a seated position, and he leaned his head back. Even if he lost, he was still proud to be Joe's first opponent in VCW. Moments later, Joe walked to the corner where Wave was and extended his hand out, and Wave took it and Joe lifted him to his feet. With a handshake and a nod of his head, Wave stepped out of the ring and let the Samoan Submission Machine have his moment in the ring to celebrate his victory.

He was back, and he hadn't missed a beat.
