so I have one question that make you shocked that I have a headcanon of Caleb that is crazy but also the most fifth element to his character is As a foil to Belos hating witches, Caleb hated humanity. Like he had zero faith in them (growing up in a town full of witch hunters didn't help at all) to the point he wanted to wipe them out for the sake of protecting witchkind (which ofc doesn't excuse/justify it, again similar to Belos). The portal door (the one with the eye) was built with the purpose of sneak attacking on Gravesfield when he was ready. Caleb did use to genuinely care about Philip, but having to take care of him alone drove him to grow sick of him, and eventually start secretly hating him after you reading that I highly recommend to just take therapy for a little while as well as take a break I'm sorry to make you give you this headcanon I just want to make you happy and more importantly just relax and have a good day my dear friend!

You think you can scare me with that headcanon? Naaaah. I'm a tough cookie. I really like this headcanon though! Very interesting point of view to look at Caleb's character, especially kinda knowing (well, theorising) how brothers grew up, in what conditions.
