I love G3 Venus Mcflytrap with my entire heart.

Like, she's black. She's a black girl.

It makes me fucking giddy. I am damn near 22 years old and seeing this alt doll that is undeniably black is everything to me. She is everything to me. Frankly she is me.

She has a bonnet, tangle teezer and a fucking spray bottle!!! Look at those curls!!!! She's just like me Fr.

Fr though I'm so glad that she exists. I remember being a kid in the 2010s and holding Clawdeen so close to my heart, she was, and is, everything to me but she was low-key the only option I had.

I never really got to choose, but now I have options, I don't have to pick the one black girl they usually add late, there are multiple types of black girls represented in these doll lines and I get to pick one that feels more true to me, it's beautiful.

It is so beautiful and there is a little black girl out there with a shelf's worth of black dolls that look like her and feel like her and she is happy, she is having fun and she got to choose from multiple options and it makes me tear up a little bit.

A Venus Yarn Reroot and a Restyle

Finally finished my Venus yarn reroot.

I wanted to keep her same rooting pattern and dyed part of my light green yarn to make the darker color to give her those two green tones her original doll had. That green yarn was the worst yarn I have ever messed with when it comes to reroots, but I think it looks appropriately vine-y along with the very textured hot pink yarn I found for her too.

I also used some thread to tie up my Fearbook Venus’ hair into a faux hawk, I shaped it with my fingers and trimmed it in a few spots too.

So in love with her.

obviously there doesn't need to be a 'reason' for g3 venus to be black but i do wanna point out that audrey II from little shop of horrors (aka the giant murderous flytrap) is voiced by a black actor in the movie adaptation and most professional productions of the musical, and idk if there's official confirmation venus is inspired by audrey II but i'd say it's a fair assumption given it definitely counts as a 'famous monster'
