Changes : Part I

A/N : So this is my first Riverdale imagine, hope you liked it because i really loved Veronica and I needed some fiction with her. There is probably going to be other part because Ronnie is a cinnamon roll. Oh and please leave feedback ;)

Veronica Lodge x Reader (to come)

While Cheryl's annual party, after the school one, was going on, there you were, on your old table at Pop's, drawing on your old sketch book, a now empty glass of milkshake in front of you. You saw the red head come over and talked to Jughead before living. You sighed slowly at the thought of what the three of you were before this summer. You use to be like the Three Musketeers, always there for each other. But then the Fourth of July and everything it came with happened. Juggie became obsessed with it and Archie... Well Archie acted weird since he started working with his father.

So there you were, by yourself on a party night. But you were not that sad, those kind of party were never your thing. You looked at your friend, back to you, typing intensely on his laptop, beanie on and a nostalgic smile crossed your lips. You were so lost in your memories that you didn't notice the new girl enter the diner and come to you.

« Is this sit taken ? »

You looked at her, and nod without a word. She smiled at you, with her beautiful and full of kindness smile.

« My name is Venonica Lodge. You ? »

« Y/N Y/F/N. What's bringing you here ? »

« An eventful night. Did not felt like going home just now. » She smiled with some kind of sadness in her eyes.

« You want to talk about it ? » You asked, raising an eyebrow.

« Let's just say I think I lost my best friend tonight » She bit her lower lip and look at her hand, twisting on the table.

« Can't say I don't know the feeling... » You said, watching your former partner in crime living the diner.

You felt Veronica eyes on you before you crossed those beautiful brown eyes of hers. And that's how you spent you first night together, talking about everything and anything, laughing and drinking milkshakes until the sunrise.

As you walked to the lunch tables the next monday in Riverdale High, you saw Betty, running away, Archie after her. She was crying but you couldn't hear a word she said. Looking around you crossed Ronnie's eyes. She waved at you, and you joined her and Kevin.

« Hey Y/N/N ! Long time no see » greeted you the young man. You smiled at him softly. In fact you and the man used to hang out when you still were talking to Arch, even tho you never were close.

You looked at Betty living and Archie being cought by the Principal before raising an eyebrow to the two brunettes.

« What happened ? »

« Short Version ? Betty's still upset about what happen during homecoming night » Kevin said.

You noded and looked at Veronica who avoid your look. Of course she talked about Betty when she said she lost a friend. Of course she was the one who made out with Archie in this closet at Cheryl's, as you learn over the week end and this morning. Ronnie finally looked at you, a shy smile on her lips. Kevin watched you for a moment and rolled his eyes, neither of you noticing it.

The rest of the day went pretty calm but it change as you walked back home. It was already dark outside when you left the park were you decided to stay, drawing some stupid things. And as you passed near Archie's house, you saw a familiar head with a beanie you could recognize in the middle of a crowd. Breathing in, you decided to go see the one who use to be your best confident.

« Hey Juggie... What are you doing ? »The writter looked at you with wide eyes, obviously suprised to see you there.

« I need to ask Archie something » he said vaguely. When he saw you frowned eyebrows he sighed. « I think I now why he was acting strange this summer » he added, not looking at you

« Like the reason why he bailed the road trip ? » Jug just nodded without a word. « And of course it is... ? » You asked

« Jug ? Y/N ? What 's up? » Archie said, stopping Jughead from answering. The boy look at you and sighed before standing and walking closer to Archie.

« What's up is I saw you Archie, in the music room whith Miss Grundy. »Your eyes widened as you understand what Jug was saying and while Archie told him to shut up.

« Is that true Arch ? That's why you were freaking weird all summer ? Why you bailed on us ? » you asked him sadly.

His silence as he looked at you with his puppy face was all you could get from him.You nodded.

« I see... So you really keep our 'no secrets' promise... »

« I like her guys... »

« So she is the reasons you've been acting weird since summer ? » Jug spoke

« One of them » Archie nodded

« There is more ? » Jughead asked, a look of disbelieve in the eye.

« We were at Sweetwater River on July 4th... We heard a gunshot. The gunshot» Archie answered.

« Dude, you have to tell someone » Juggie said. « This is really bad » You added.

« I can't. And neither can you ! »

« A kid is dead Archie ! » both you and Jughead said at the same time.

After a conversation that would be more productive if it had happened between deaf people, you and Jug left, without a word. Archie last word really hurt you. Yep, you didn't know anything anymore about your best friend. But you were determined to learn more about that day. After an awkward goodbye to the beanie boy, you went home. When you looked at your phone tou saw a text from Veronica : I don't know how you are doing it since all those years. This town is messed up. You have no clue how much V.
