Lot: Lighthouse (Storm)

When we last visited this house (over a year ago oof), we had a bunch of birthdays: Troy and Vera reached elderhood, and Paloma grew up to an adult.

Troy's fish shop reopened after a renovation with an expanded selection of frozen products. Alicia tried dating, but the first attempt had more jokes and less art enthusiasm than she would prefer.

At the end of the round, Paloma moved out to study at Rustfall University, almost a six-hour trip away from Foxfire.

Haven't drawn for a bit bc of postgrad exams but I'm finally back on my bullshit on my break! This piece is a mix of traditional and digital. I sketched the lineart on paper and rendered it in paint tool sai. I miss u paint tool sai, I miss u digital art. Now I finally have time to get back into it <3

After Shadow High Series 1 came another set of groundbreaking dolls…the Storm Twins ! They are so vastly superior to the De’vious twins in my opinion because they aren’t a copy of each other with an opposite colour scheme. They have a very different style and a different vibe ! The long nails being introduced in play-line dolls were revolutionary too ! I love how Naomi is very Clawdeen while Veronica is very Draculaura/Elissabat in a way !🖤

My Storm Twins caught the Yellowed Head Disease from existing In A Room With A Window (despite not facing the window), or maybe just from existing, period. I pondered rebodying the heads onto Shadow High Heather bodies to have more of a skintone match between body and head (Heather is a warm light gray). I still think it would be a possible solution, but after buying one secondhand Heather and botching the head removal (I got impatient and wanted to see if I could do it without heat, lol), I lost the heart to keep buying more Heathers and decided to just accept that these gals show their age. It has become my excuse to finally stop treating them as overly precious and completely redress both of them, and it also inspired the challenge of covering up as much skin as possible, lol.
