Turn your waffle iron into a versatile cooking tool and create this delicious waffle iron wrap with ham, Swiss cheese, and sautéed vegetables. It's a quick and satisfying meal perfect for any time of the day!
Ingredients: 1 flour tortilla. 2 slices of ham. 2 slices of Swiss cheese. 1/4 cup sliced bell peppers. 1/4 cup sliced onions. 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms. 1 tablespoon olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm up your waffle iron and use non-stick spray to lightly coat it. Lay the flour tortilla out on a clean surface. Put slices of ham and Swiss cheese in the middle of the tortilla. Warm the olive oil in a small pan over medium-high heat. Slice the onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms and add them to the pan. The vegetables should be sauted for three to five minutes, or until they get soft. Add salt and pepper to taste to the sauted vegetables. Place the sauted vegetables on top of the tortilla with the ham and cheese. As you would with a burrito, fold the tortilla's sides in and then roll it up tight. Close the lid on the waffle iron and put the tortilla wrapped in the paper inside. The tortilla should be cooked for three to four minutes, or until it turns golden brown and crispy. Take off the waffle iron wrap carefully and let it cool for one minute before cutting it. You can eat your waffle iron wrap with your favorite sauce or toppings.
