Not just about the spoilers and who ends up getting the serum but also that... it makes sense with what Levi said earlier

and that it is also the final bit of a long line of what I see as proof that Eruri is canon. If he chose to save Armin...he was being kind to Armin who still had that passion in him and was still quite young..

And it would be an act of love or at the very least respect for Erwin who lost all of his passion, was exhausted beyond all reason, a decision not to return Erwin to that pain as much as he wanted to.

I can’t with this ship and I can’t with my love for Levi

and...I wouldn’t be that surprised if this ends up being false and I have to take all that I said back.

I am sad...yes... quite sad... but it fits with Levi’s character to make that decision, even though I am quite sure he hates himself even more for it.
