okay so uh. here’s a thing i made, it’s called vesbian. it’s an equivalent to the word “gai,” for those who are lesbians, but in a nonbinary (+ genderqueer, binaryweird, etc…) way.

there’s already the terms gai and strayt to have this for general gay / straight experiences with nonbinary and genderqueer people, so i wanted to make one that was specific to lesbianism and those adjacent to it. while lesbians have always been included under gai too, some people might prefer the more specific word, just like how lesbians have always been included in "gay," but also have their own word. gai is also just fantastic shorthand and has been for a while, and vesbian can serve the same purpose for nonbinary lesbians and similar groups.

in my mind, the term is pronounced like “vehss-bee-an,” as opposed to lesbian being “lehzz-bee-an” because it reminds me a lot of the word “vesper,” but i don’t care at all how other people prefer to say it. the flag is inspired by the gai flag, but i wanted to have a mix of blues and orange / red.

Vesdian/velsbian/velsdian/vesrian

 A subset of gaybian/velaurian where one is both veldian and vesbian.

Flag: the yellow for nonbinary/genderqueer genders, as gai is gay attraction in a specifically nonbinary way, the orange represents gai attraction to women(vesbian) and the blue is for queer attraction to men(veldian)

Inspired by the veldian/turian and vesbian flags.

Lexbian/lexdian

A subset of gaybian where one is both lesbian and vexdian

Flag: yellow/off-white for nonbinary/genderueer genders, turquoise for gai attraction to men(vexdian), and purple for queer attraction to women(lesbian) 

Inspired by the aurora lesbian and vexdian flags. I was having a lot of trouble with this flag and i did try to use the sunset flag but i couldn’t get the colours to work without it being too similar to the vesdian flag or it just being a completely pink flag so i ended up using the aurora lesbian flag instead, which i think is fitting as mspec and nb lesbians are often not included and aurora lesbian is fully inclusive :)

(For vexdian + vesbian there’s vexbian)

Also there’s this other vesdian flag i made which i think looks kinda like the queer straight flag

Vesbigai

One who is both Gai and Vesbian in any way, for any reason!

Combining this Gai flag with the Vesbian flag. I made this because I think I vibe with both terms regarding being oriented anattractional/aroace.
