"Constantly being plagued by an unexplainable burning in your skull, and the only thing you have to explain it are unexplainable feelings of guilt and half-memories? It got old very fuckin' quick."

"There's also Valkea. They are in the same position as me. Hurting and hurting. But, unlike me, they actually remember what happened."

Kappa stands up and shrugs her shoulders in an overexaggerated way.

"But Kappa! Why don't you just ask Valkea what happened?"

Nema winces.

"Because they won't mcfuckin' tell me, that's why! No matter how many times I made my noise at them they just shook their head and turned away."

"I can't just ignore what happened the same way they do! Don't they feel the burning? The headaches? The guilt?"

Kappa flops onto the grass, nearly squishing Nema and Vetle.

"There's also my old teammates."

Nema's stomach lurches. She holds her belly as if she's becoming ill.

"I had four old teammates. Valkea didn't run around Unova with just me. I... do somewhat remember them. Who they are, my time with them... I can remember nearly everything that happened before the accident. All I know for certain are their names, because they have graves out behind the house."

[Nema]

"They're dead..."

[Kappa]

"Yeah. I'm just... thinking, y'know?"

"Maybe if I know what happened to me, I can figure out what happened to them."

"I was the third and last one made from that, I don't know if Tamarind will make more in the future? Probably but I'm not sure."
