Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted. 2 large eggs. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1 cup milk. Sky blue food coloring. Powdered sugar for dusting. Sky blue icing optional. Sprinkles optional.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and grease a donut pan. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined. Add milk to the batter and continue mixing until you have a smooth batter. Add sky blue food coloring to achieve your desired shade of blue. Mix well until the color is evenly distributed. Fill the donut molds in the pan with the blue batter, about 2/3 full for each. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean. Remove the donuts from the oven and let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once the donuts are cool, you can dust them with powdered sugar or decorate them with sky blue icing and sprinkles if desired. Enjoy your homemade sky blue donuts!
