Ingredients: 8 ounces mozzarella balls, drained. 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon dried oregano. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional. Salt and black pepper to taste. 8 cherry tomatoes. 8 slices of salami. 8 pitted olives. 8 small fresh basil leaves. 8 wooden skewers, soaked in water.
Instructions: In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, red pepper flakes if using, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to make the marinade. Add the drained mozzarella balls to the marinade and toss to coat. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or longer for more flavor. Thread the marinated mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes, salami slices, olives, and fresh basil leaves onto the soaked wooden skewers in your desired order. Repeat until all skewers are assembled.
