You know I was thinking recently how unique the Loki series characters are to their timeline selves.

Mobius is only Mobius because he's lived his life at the TVA. Don doesn't have that experience.

Sylvie is only Sylvie because she spent her childhood and adulthood living in apocalypses, not in a palace like Loki did.

Victor is only Victor because he's not actually found a way to reach out and meet other Kangs. His experiments didn't work.

Loki is only God of Stories because through Mobius they had the space to heal, grow, and make connections with others.

Loki just goes SO MUCH HARDER than it ever had to.

Not only is it gorgeous and full of personality visually.

Not only does it REALLY trust its audience.

Not only is a really smartly written.

It has a cast full of career-best performances from some of the best actors in the business.

It’s MAD.

Sometimes a family is you, your best friend, a guy you threatened once, the butch cop who arrested you a few weeks ago, an anti-social scientist you didn't know was living in your basement until recently, a random 19th-Century professor you picked up while time-traveling, and your female counterpart from another universe with whom you share a complicated romantic history.

Gosh I love Sci-Fi.
