Victory Friday 07/31/26
Randomly got the motivation to clean my place and also to pick back up on something I was passionate about before I had to stop for mental health reasons so that's my victory this week
I'm gonna pick my flute back up and I've also decided to try to learn keyboard
How did everyone's victory friday go?
I don't think I have ever actually posted on a victory Friday and I think the reason is because I'm so hard on myself. I look back on my week and I will think, "What did I accomplish this week?" and most of the things I find I tell myself that I still could have done those things better. I always feel like I need to do more and keep on raising my expectations for myself. Because of this, at the end of the week, I find it hard to find something to celebrate about. But this week I want to change that. I want the be confident in what I have done and know that even if what I did was not perfect, that I am still proud to be me and be proud of what I have done. So what have I done that has made by happy this week and that is worth celebrating? I finished my children book for history that I put so much effort into, and though it's minor mistakes, I am proud to call it mine. It;s creative and it's me and I like it. I got through writing all my Spanish vocab words out 5 times each with only one mistake when I got all 14 pages of notebook paper back. For me that is a big deal. Spanish is my week link in my studies. I also found joy in the small moments this week. Small moments like having glitter dumped on my head and leaving this trail of glitter behind be the rest of the day. Though it was a mess and some of the glitter still resides on my hair, it made me happy and it made me laugh. I enjoyed it and I count it as a victory. My last victory that I just discovered is that I am able to push away the standers that I set for myself for just a minute to realize that I have accomplished things. I have been able to look at myself positively and be proud of myself. And for me, that is a major victory.
