These are variants for Rogue One: Jyn Erso #1, Shadow of Maul #4, and Galaxy's Edge: Echoes of the Empire #3

A little disappointing they didn't include many characters that haven't been on previous pride variants. The only characters here that haven't had a pride cover before are Vildar, Tey, Mother Aniseya, and Ariole. Obviously Aphra has gotten a cover every year since they started doing pride covers in 2021 (as she should) but they have a lot of other characters they could've included that haven't been on one of these covers before. Maybe next year we'll get a Vernestra cover. Or Tep Tep. Or if they wanted to go Legends with it, a Juhani cover to honour the first canonically queer character in Star Wars. Some day.

Behold, a selection of characters that didn't make the cut for the main tourney! Don't have full character bios for this lot, but under the cut I do have a quick logline for each and what flavor of queer they are.

Matty Cathley: A twi'lek Jedi padawan in phase 2 of the High Republic, she has had at least one crush on a slightly older lady Jedi. Apprentice to Vildar Mac, who we'll get to in a minute.

Xylan Graf: A spoiled, double-dealing, yet ultimately somehow pretty alright rich boy from phases 1 and 3 of the High Republic. Married to our next contestant...

Cair San Tekka: From a very well-off family but generally less of a pompous ass about it than his husband and tends to do helpful things with his money and influence.

Leox Gyasi: Captain of the good ship Vessel and one of the most fun characters in the first and third phases of the High Republic, he is definitely ace, probably aro, and has said he likes the idea that he is the ultimate culmination of his family line.

Yana Ro: A member of a cult known as the Path of the Open Hand in phase 2 of the High Republic and in particular one of its covert agents, she had a long-standing relationship with another girl named Kor until a mission that was meant to dispose of them both killed Kor but not her.

Vildar Mac: A Jedi master in phase 2 of the High Republic and eventually the Jedi's representative on an inter-faith council on Jedha known as the Convocation of the Force. Also, incredibly unusually for a Jedi, was married while still serving the order. Married to...

Tey Sirrek: From Guardian of the Whills to common thief to voice of the voiceless on the Convocation of the Force during phase 2 of the High Republic. He later married Vildar Mac and also showed up 150 years later in phase 3 with a whole host of new problems.

Crash Ongwa: A Corellian private security contractor turned resistance fighter against the Nihil in phases 1 and 3 of the High Republic. Has an up-and-down but very solid relationship with...

Svi'no Atchapat: A much adored Corellian singer turned resistance fighter against the Nihil and Crash's partner in love, crime, and heroism (sometimes all at once) in phases 1 and 3 of the High Republic.

Sana Starros: A scion of the legendary Starros family, Sana has been many, many things from smuggler to rebel contractor to on-again off-again partner of Doctor Aphra.

Wilhuff Tarkin: If his eligibility is a surprise to you, I am so sorry! But, alas, even evil pieces of shit can be queer. Did you know the stormtrooper Luke killed and stole the armor off of to sneak around the death star was Tarkin's boytoy? No? Well now you do!

Juhani: A Jedi guardian from the era of the Old Republic and a member of Revan's crew in KOTOR, I am told she is SUPER GAY. I must confess, I have no firsthand experience here, but I include her for those who will love that she's here (hi there @paris-rokin).

WHAT WE KNOW OF THE KIFFAR PEOPLE:

I was never sure (not having read all of Legends) but going through the High Republic Character Encyclopedia and Dark Disciple, it's (Disney) canon that Kiffar markings are definitely tattoos and they receive them in childhood. It seems they receive them at least before the age of four years old, as Vildar has his in a flashback he has to when he was that age, in his birth village:

There also seems to be some variety in them--Vildar's are white, Quinlan's are yellow--and possibly further tattoos, as Quinlan has a yellow one on his arm as well:

And it makes sense that these are probably clan-related, which the Star Wars Databank backs up:

"Kiffar seem human in appearance, but are identifiable from facial tattoos which indicates their clan affilation [sic] on their home planets of Kiffu and Kiffex."

And while psychometry was not limited to just the Kiffar (as there's no indication that Cal Kestis was Kiffar and Karr Nuq Sin from Force Collector definitely wasn't Kiffar, Rey and Ahsoka both seem to have some level of ability to do it), it seems like it's slightly more common in their population:
