Commencement / Copperdale (5)
We can’t wrap up Copperdale Commencement without Ms. Robyn Jones - she may have missed valedictorian by just one point, but she didn’t come away empty-handed.
She has become the first recipient of the LRC SCHOLARSHIP (also known as the Levesque Ramesh Cho Medical Scholarship)
When Robin assisted with the birth of her little sister Violet, she thought being a Doula was her calling. But after talking to her guidance counselor and her moms, she decided a full medical degree would give her the foundation she needed to make the right decisions.
She made quite an impact on Dr. Ramesh-Cho at career day - so much so, she inspired them to select her as their first recipient of their medical scholarship.
Robin is aware this will be an intense commitment; not only will she have to deal with premed, she’ll also have to train in her specialty as well. It won’t give her and D’Angelo much time to spend together, but they both agree school is the most important thing.
✏️ That concludes our Commencement at Copperdale - we’ll now move on to Britechester, then Foxbury.
Note: As we know, the big update is coming soon; there’s still so much to do! Here’s hoping we can get these all done before that, but if not, we’ll pick up afterwards 👌🏾✨
On to University!
This is a big time for the Jones household - Pike and his girlfriend Nellie will be going to Tomerang; he’s accepted a conservationist project helping conserving the land for both the people and their tigers.
It will be a little rough on Violet with her big brother and big sister away so long, but they both promised to video chat regularly and send her plenty of souvenirs.
Nellie Akoi has already gotten a few digs under her belt – she’s pivoting for a moment to participate in a special project in Tomarang; partially because it’s a coveted position, partially to be near Pike.
Nellie’s mother Moody is almost finished her residency at the university – she’s thinking of taking a sabbatical and doing some traveling of her own. She and Nellie have discussed it and they’re going to put their things in storage and give up their apartment so Miss Tati can rent it out. They can always get another place if Nelly decides to come back to Evergreen Harbor, but they both doubt that will be likely.
It will be interesting to see where this next chapter takes them.
There’s no mistaking it – Nellie and Pike know each other is the one and they’re completely OK with it. No need to figure things out; they’re locked in and committed for the long haul. The question is – what will that look like for them?
Congratulations, kids. And good luck!
