Thank you for the cute idea; however, you didn't specify anything, so I ran with it. You sent this ask to me on 31st Dec 2025, and I'm more than fashionably late atp, so apologies for the delay. The plot I originally had in mind was too… angsty and frankly boring, so instead I wrote this for you. Hope you enjoy it.
I’d really like to know your stoner Megumi hcs (bc I’m in love with how you write him.… I think he and Suguru would get along great.
The gummie is giving me the strength currently to send this ask
*runs away*
Bro, bro, bro.
I was just thinking about this because my brain is running fast with ideas for his ending in third wheeling. 🤣🤣 But these will be without spoilers, but yeah, they get high multiple times in it because the reader is unhinged.
Stoner!Fushiguro Megumi Headcanons
Megumi doesn’t use gummies to party. He uses it to go offline.
He treats getting high the way other people treat taking a bath. It’s functional and private. It’s for when the world is too loud and his brain won’t shut up. If people start being loud or sloppy around him while he’s high, he will silently relocate to another room without announcing it.
He absolutely gets couch-locked. Not in a goofy way but in a “sitting upright on the couch, staring at the TV that’s been paused for twenty minutes” way.
He knows he’s thirsty.
He knows the water bottle is two feet away.
He will not move.
Someone will eventually go, “Megumi, do you want water?”
And he will quietly say, “Yes.”
And still not move.
He becomes extremely absorbed in whatever he’s watching. It doesn’t matter if it’s a documentary, anime, or a stupid reality show; he watches like it’s a legal case he’s building in his head. If someone tries to talk to him during it, he gets that slightly irritated Megumi look and just says, “I’m following this.”
High!Megumi reorganizes things.
Not in a manic way but in a hyper-focused, meticulous way. He will suddenly decide the living room layout is wrong and begin shifting furniture by inches until it “feels right.” Nobody else sees the difference. He absolutely does.
He also starts lining things up. Shoes. Remotes. Coasters. If something is crooked, it will bother him in a way he cannot ignore.
He gets randomly very affectionate in a subtle Megumi way.
He doesn’t suddenly turn cuddly; he just sits closer. His shoulder touches yours. His knee stays against yours. If someone he cares about moves away, he drifts after them without acknowledging it.
If he’s dating someone, he becomes extremely clingy in a quiet, territorial way. He won’t make a big deal about it but he just stays physically near them at all times like a guard dog that pretends it’s napping.
He talks less, but when he does talk, it’s brutally honest.
High Megumi will drop truths like, “I don’t trust that guy.” or “I think you’re better than you think.” or “I hate when people pretend not to care.”
Then he will immediately go back to being silent.
He is very good at hiding when he’s high.
Because he’s always quiet and observant anyway. He doesn’t giggle, doesn’t get sloppy. He just looks… slightly more tired. Slightly more spaced out. The only person who ever knows for sure is whoever knows him the best.
He absolutely naps.
Not cute naps. Knockout, full-body shutdown naps. He curls up wherever he is, hoodie pulled over his face, shoes still on, phone in his hand. He looks like a cat that ran out of battery.
He wakes up confused, thirsty, and emotionally blank.
He would 100% take an edible before boring work.
Especially paperwork, clan meetings, or long missions with people he hates. It makes him calmer, less reactive, and weirdly more patient. No one notices except maybe someone very close to him, because he starts blinking slower.
He has exactly one tolerance.
He does not chase being more high. If someone offers him more, he’ll say no unless he trusts them deeply. He hates not being in control of his body.
He doesn’t like smoking much.
The smell sticks to his clothes, and he hates that. He prefers edibles or vaping because they’re cleaner, quieter, and less obvious. Also, he doesn’t want Gojo or Yuji immediately knowing.
He becomes slightly philosophical, but in a Megumi way.
Not big speeches. Just lines like “Most people don’t deserve the grace they get.” or “I think dogs understand loyalty better than humans.” or “I’d still save you even if it ruined me.”
Then he’ll look annoyed that he said it out loud.
He gets more introspective, not louder.
High!Megumi thinks about Tsumiki. About choices. About who deserves saving. About whether he’s good or just stubborn. He won’t say most of it, but you can see it in the way his eyes go distant.
He would absolutely get along with Suguru.
Quiet, morally complicated, analytical, and tired of hypocrisy. They’d sit next to each other not talking much, both high, both thinking about the state of the world, occasionally exchanging one devastating sentence.
No loudness. Just vibes and dread.
A/N: Thank you for asking me this, and I'm proud of you. ❤️
I’ve said this before and ill say it again. Your portrayal of Gojo is ACTUALLY SPOT ON. no hate to other authors, and how they write him, bc everyone has different interpretations, but the way you do it sounds.. like it actually feels the way Gege intended Gojo to be read as.
The dichotomy in how he’s gentle with his juniors and unknowingly intimidating to his equals and superiors, your works embody that. Without taking away from how he can be goofy too.
It’s such a nice change from how I’ve seen dedicated Gojo writers write him off as “mean!toru” and be like “yeahhhh he’s so mean I loooooove playing with canon rep of Satoru” (when he’s not even mean in that callous way??? He does come off as mean like with Utahime but it’s a joke to him — his idea of meanness is when he doesn’t quite sound compatible with non sorcerers or other colleagues, that’s his version of mean) like they make the guy insanely condescending and be like that’s canon Gojo 😭 bruh this guy would not talk to a non sorcerer knowing he doesn’t know how to interact with them, then why tf would you make him sound so brash to the people he actually likes working with (ESPECIALLY IF FICS MAKE HIM BE RUDE TO HIS OWN PARTNER are you kidding me????)
He’s the fun sensei ffs 😭 are we being fr calling mischaracterisation of Gojo Satoru as canon representation in the year of twenty twenty six
Omg hiiii💙💙💙💙
Your ask actually made me sit there and stare at my wall for a bit 😭 in a good way.
Thank you, genuinely. This means a lot because the way Gojo gets flattened into “mean hot guy” in fic drives me a little insane.
Like yes he teases, yes he’s annoying on purpose, yes he’s socially… feral, but mean? callous? cruel to people he chooses to be around?
That’s just not him.
The thing with Gojo is that his gentleness is selective, not performative.
He’s soft where it matters and terrifying where it doesn’t need to be comfortable.
He’s good with his students because he wants them safe and better than him.
He’s intimidating to his peers because he doesn’t know how to sand himself down to be palatable, and also because he doesn’t really believe he should have to.
and exactly like you said, his idea of “being mean” is basically bad jokes, tone-deaf comments, or pushing buttons with people who can push back.
Utahime gets it because she knows it’s a bit. Nanami tolerates it because he understands the intent even when he hates the delivery.
Gojo’s not out here trying to emotionally wound people he cares about.
I also never buy rude-to-partner gojo. Ever.
That man would be annoying, intrusive, way too close, way too loud but cruel? dismissive? No.
If he lets you close enough to be a partner, that’s already him choosing softness, even if it comes out sideways.
So yeah, thank you for seeing that.
I try really hard to write him as someone who is fundamentally kind but catastrophically bad at being normal about it.
Babe can I have some Nanami pls like I need some of your version of Nanami as a lil snack to munch on I did nothing productive today but I’m starting now so uh pretty please :(
Some words of encouragement with a side of terms of endearment would be lovely
(This is not serious at all pleaseeeee do not feel pressured to write I was js asking to see how your verse Nanami would react hehe)
A/N: Thank you, babes, and apologies for the delay. I just have written Nanami so much before that I kinda blacked out. So today, I finally have something. 😛 This is in the same canon universe as the Gojo one.
Gojo's
Working with Nanami would start with him not noticing you at all.
(are we even surprised atp?)
Not in a cruel or dismissive way.
Just… you don’t register.
You’re another competent shape in the building. Another sorcerer who files reports on time, doesn’t complain loudly, and doesn’t bleed on the floor more than necessary.
You exist in the same way office furniture exists: useful, present, and not demanding attention.
The first time he actually clocks you is because of Gojo.
Gojo is doing what Gojo does, leaning too close to someone who hates him for sport.
It’s Megumi this time.
Megumi looks one bad sentence away from summoning something. Shoko is half-listening, half-smoking, and fully unbothered. Nanami is already tired.
And then there’s you.
Standing a little off to the side. Not involved. Not laughing. Just watching.
Your face does something strange when Gojo’s there. Not soft or starry-eyed exactly.
Just this dumb, unguarded smile that looks like it slipped out before you could stop it.
The rest of the time, your face sits in a perfect resting-bitch neutrality. Professional. Closed.
After that, he keeps noticing.
You’re good at your job. That helps.
You don’t miss details. You don’t dramatize injuries. You don’t romanticize the work.
That alone puts you in his good books.
Before Shibuya, though, before everything, you had something smaller. Quieter. Office things.
Nanami becomes the person you sit next to when filling out mission reports because neither of you can stand doing it alone.
You share snacks without comment.
You talk shit about the higher-ups under your breath, like coworkers committing a small, necessary crime.
Sometimes he offers you a drink after a long mission.
You always say no.
Not because you’re afraid.
Because you’re not, and that’s the problem. (You WILL JUMP HIM & LOSE YOUR JOB).
You admire him openly, but not loudly.
You want to make him proud.
You want your work to be clean enough that he never has to correct it.
When he does, it’s precise. Kind. Almost gentle.
It means more to you than praise would.
He’s older than you by just enough that it feels safe. Solid. Like something that won’t tip over if you lean on it.
Nanami would never flirt first, but he would notice discipline cracking.
He clocks it in micro-adjustments. The way you sit a little straighter when he enters a room. The way your voice steadies too carefully when you report to him.
The way you decline drinks but don’t leave.
Nanami doesn’t sexualize this.
He files it under risk. Not moral but emotional risk. The kind that gets people killed in this line of work.
That’s why he never pushes.
That’s why he never jokes about it.
Silence, for him, is restraint, not ignorance.
His language of endearment is logistical, not verbal.
He’d wordlessly hand you the better seat during briefings. Adjust mission pacing so you’re not paired with liabilities. Leave an extra ration where you’ll find it.
He doesn’t call you pet names. He doesn’t tease.
But he remembers how you take your coffee, and that’s worse, because it means he’s paying attention when he shouldn’t be.
That’s the line he doesn’t cross, not because he doesn’t want to, but because once he does, he won’t half-ass it.
Nanami’s restraint is deliberate, not disinterest.
If he ever noticed sexual tension, and he would, it would make him pull back, not lean in.
He is acutely aware of power dynamics, age gaps, and the corrosive effect of stress on judgment.
That awareness is precisely why, if anything ever happened, it would only happen off-duty, off-record, and after he’d already decided to leave jujutsu society again.
Anything else would feel like theft to him.
Not indulgence but exploitation.
Canon Nanami does not take what he hasn’t earned cleanly.
You don’t actually talk until Shibuya.
It’s loud. It’s wrong.
Everything is off by a fraction that keeps scraping against your nerves.
You say it out loud once, to no one important, that this feels like a mistake.
Then everything collapses in on itself.
Gojo gets sealed. People scatter.
You and Nanami get separated in the mess of smoke and screams and cursed energy spiking like static.
He overhears you once, telling another sorcerer that something feels wrong about Shibuya, that too many people are being gathered without explanation, and that it feels staged, like bait.
You don’t raise your voice.
You don’t try to convince anyone.
You just say it, quietly, like an observation you’re already resigned to being right about.
He files it away.
That’s it.
That’s all you get.
There is no slow realization.
No almost-confession.
No moment where either of you understands what the other could have been.
Nanami dies without knowing you might have been a reason to leave again.
You live without knowing he might have wanted one.
After Shibuya, people talk about Nanami like a loss. A tragedy. A symbol.
You don’t.
You never told him that he was the reason you stayed in the jujutsu society when it got unbearable.
He never told you that you made the work feel less like punishment.
You weren’t hoping for romance.
Nanami dies believing you’ll be fine because you’re competent.
You live knowing competence wasn’t the point.
You were hoping for continuity.
Someone steady enough to exist tomorrow.
That’s the real loss. Not the sex, not the almost-relationship, but the future where exhaustion didn’t have the last word.
You remember the break room. The sound of paper sliding across a desk. The weight of competence sitting beside you, making the work easier just by being there.
You don’t smile around Gojo anymore.
Your face doesn’t do that thing.
And sometimes, when you’re exhausted, when the job feels pointless, when the world feels cruel in ways that don’t have names, you think about how he would have nodded at your report, pushed his glasses up, and said, “That will do.”
And it almost does.
After Shibuya, you stop declining drinks.
Not because you want them.
Because no one left knows you well enough to offer.
A/N: I have hurt myself too, be gentle. 😭 Thank for this ask @caramellia-and-parental-issues 💚
okay i all wanted megumi to suffer a little after the “annoying girl” thing but why am i feeling bad for him??
the bar was underground and he still brought a shovel.
i need to know if he ever actually manages to say anything in the epilogue or if yuji is goingto keep winning by being able to speak
Hiii, anon, your ask made me laugh.
His head was indeed like,
"No, I'm not deep enough. I'll fumble from sea level."
And I agree, communication is the only difference here. Megumi would have done all those things if he had only opened his mouth to ask her what her life was outside the store when she wasn't staring at his eyelashes.
Also, no spoilers about the epilogue, because if I even breathe in that direction, I'll spoil it.
oh ml look at this🤭🤭 immediately thought of twyom https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTHb8JEp3JNkM-ZpD1W/
Omgg I have seen this and it was actually an inspo behind that scene :D
BECAUSE WHY IS THIS LITERALLY THEM? 💀💀
In chapter 3, Gojo is grabbing Nanami’s pecks like stress balls mid-fight while their soon-to-be-ex-wife™ is across the planet silently planning both their assassinations??? (Meanwhile, Haibara was getting murder-happy in the back.)
Fic's Canon behavior. TWYOM-coded to the core.
The reader was two seconds away from activating her HR department and her domain expansion: husbands must die simultaneously. Meanwhile, those two are giggling like frat boys in a locker room mid-espionage war.
I just KNOW Gojo was like, “I missed these," while Nanami said, “We’re literally fighting our wife, Satoru," and neither of them dodged the incoming punch.
For folks with TikTok banned in their countries, here is the alt link.
I freaking loved this ask Nymph. We're sharing the same headspace atp!
Hey hun! I just finished read Chopsticks/No Tattoos (really liked it btw).
I just wanted to know if it was a one-shot or part of a series considering there was so much detail and background characters? ☺️
Hey, anon. 🌸
Thank you for reading. It's a slice of life oneshot and I kinda got lost in the sauce for the AU. Originally it was only supposed to have Megumi, Yuji, and the reader, but then Sukuna inserted himself 🙄, and so did his whole clan.
If you have any specific scenarios, I can take requests for this AU.
Hope this helps.
