doing actual research on DID is so freeing. i mean literal books and scientific journals. we're still trying to save up for all the books we want, but man these journals are so great. so are the legitimate articles on childhood trauma. so are the trusted youtubers who actually link their research and have studied / read up on this shit.

its so fucking relieving to read something scientific and go "yes. thats me".

it feels so much better than online debates with number names and introject doubles.

it feels so goddamn nice to actually touch grass and look at the facts of this disorder.

I enjoy a lot of ships that contain some form of power imbalance (superbat, timkon, lucmond, codywan, etc) BUT the one ship I don't want that in is my tomarrymort. With a power imbalance there's the idea that "person A is strong enough to hurt person B but they'd never choose to do that," but tomarrymort WOULD and HAVE and i need Harry to have agency. They're equals, just as the prophecy says, and I need my fics to really understand that. Sure some scenarios put them at a power imbalance but that's not what I'm here for

Ok so I can't sleep so here are some head cannons of an adoption AU I'm working on:

Janus would be the Dad who adopts both Remus and Virgil because he was a "problem" kid in the foster system and wants to keep other kids out of that life

Virgil lived near Logan at one of the worse homes and Logan awkwardly tried to help

Remy + Janus teach the kids martial arts just in case they loose custody to the terrible parents for some reason

Patton would think Virgil was unsafe due to all the scars and bruises from training

Remus would be super overprotective brother™ of Virgil even after only knowing him for a few days

Remus would struggle with terrible intensive thoughts along with childhood schizophrenia and because his parents wanted a "perfect" family they sent him into the foster care system

Remus would be on meds and super open about it and it would often scare off terrible people

When Virgil and Logan meet again Logan is confused by not knowing all the facts and is distrustful of Virgil's safety

Virgil would have huge trust issues and would refuse to rely on anyone but himself at first but would try to keep detached until they adopted him

Roman would be aware he had a twin but be told he died of illness when they where 3 (when they gave Remus up)

When Remus met Roman he often jokingly teased that he was Romans long lost brother due to how similar they looked

Remus always thought it was a possibility due to not knowing his family but never really did anything about it
