Soulmate AU where when you touch your soulmate you can feel what they’re feeling and sometimes hear what they’re thinking. 

Stiles and Derek have known they’re soulmates for a long time but they haven’t had sex yet. One night, they’re getting rather intimate when Stiles senses Derek’s anxiety, nervousness and hesitation. He pauses and tells Derek that if he doesn’t want to have sex, they can watch a movie or just cuddle. 

“No, no, no, that’s not it,” Derek says. “I want to. I really want to… I just…”

Stiles catches a fragment of Derek’s thoughts: I’ve never done this before.

“You’ve never been with anyone before?” Stiles asks, shocked.

Derek bashfully drops his gaze.

“I’m sorry but I find it hard to believe that you didn’t have flocks of people throwing themselves at you.”

“Well, I did…”

“And you never had sex?”

“I was waiting,” Derek says.

“For what?” Stiles asks.

Derek looks up at him. “For you.”

Stiles feels his heart flutter. A small smile works its way onto his face.

“Oh, you are so getting laid tonight,” Stiles tells him.

They take it slow. Derek lets Stiles take the lead; the two of them lost in tender, loving kisses as they make love for the first time.
