The technical approach behind this mix draws from the tradition of multi-deck mixing developed by figures such as Jeff Mills and Carl Cox, and later evolved in a more modular and technology-driven direction by artists like Richie Hawtin and James Zabiela. The result is neither a mash-up nor a traditional remix, but a continuous flow in which the boundaries between DJing, live remixing, and spontaneous composition overlap. At the core of this set lies a continuous flow built in real time, where DJing, live remix, and composition coexist within the same operational space. Tracks are not developed in a linear form; instead, they surface as fragments, then dissolve back into a system of loops and stratifications that sustains the entire mix. Frequencies are broken down into functional modules. Loops of variable length (1–16 bars), isolated rhythmic elements, melodic fragments, and textures are introduced and removed through layering and subtraction. Tempo and pitch are treated as dynamic parameters, not fixed values. The goal is not density, but control of sonic hierarchy. Each layer enters with a specific purpose: rhythmic reinforcement, transition, tension, or release. Towards the end of the mix, I took freely choose of inserting some complete songs overlaying the overall structure. You can easily recognize Franco Battiato and a daring dig at Nirvana. The mix ends with a bonus track of what will be LUZCØZ's next single. The entire mix was recorded live in VirtualDJ 8 and mastered in Ableton Live 10 Suite. Il risultato non è un mash-up né un remix tradizionale, ma un flusso continuo in cui i confini tra DJing, live remix e composizione estemporanea si sovrappongono. Il cuore di questo set è un flusso continuo costruito in tempo reale, dove DJing, live remix e composizione estemporanea convivono nello stesso spazio operativo. Le tracce non vengono sviluppate in forma lineare, ma affiorano a frammenti, per poi essere integrate in un sistema di loop e stratificazioni che sostiene l’intero mix. Frequenze scomposte in moduli. Loop di lunghezza variabile (1–16 battute), elementi ritmici separati, frammenti melodici e texture vengono introdotti e rimossi per stratificazione e sottrazione. Tempo e pitch sono trattati come parametri dinamici, non come valori fissi. L’obiettivo non è la densità, ma il controllo della gerarchia sonora. Ogni layer entra per rinforzo ritmico, transizione, tensione o rilascio. Verso la fine del mix mi sono permesso di inserire dei brani completi in sovrimpressione alla struttura generale. Si può facilmente riconoscere Franco Battiato e un azzardata con i Nirvana. Il mix finisce con una bonustrack di quello che sarà il prossimo singolo di LUZCØZ. L'intero mix è stato registrato live su VirtualDJ8 e masterizzato con AbletonLive 10 suite.
