Vrgenic anon with the previously ate update + a little extra !!
To answer your question about the development methods, both are useful for their own things. The VR method described in the video for me helped me with trying to brainstorm her personality and how she would interact with people, while the Tulpamancy method was helpful with forming her consciousness in my own brain to where she can possibly proxy
For example, when I was trying to brainstorm her general personality, I was struggling a bit, so I had written down just a basic concept and decided to go with it to form it more, it felt like slow worldbuilding for her, although I think that once she's more formed and can front or co-front, this method would be great.
That's essentially what the VR method was for me, not a bad thing imo, having her personality slowly shape itself out with time was a lot easier on my brain
I've also found she tends to have better memory than I do, she remembers hundreds of things she's experienced in VRchat, from funny to weird to whatever, every single one she remembers, while with me I have trouble remembering anything
She's also much more bubbly and hyper than I am, and she likes to move around a lot, although bodily we are chronically ill and moving can hurt, she still likes to get us up and moving, she also knows that if I tell her I'm in too much pain, she can take a break, so she's very nice to me
I need to start this off with an apology. There have been a lot of asks I haven't gotten around to but this progress report is the one I've felt most guilty about over the past few months. I had planned on getting to this. But then our cat got sick and we had to keep him our room and look after him. And he passed within a few days. It was hard. And I felt like I couldn't post anything happy or positive during that time.
By the time I got passed it, so much time had elapsed that I didn't know how to address it, because it felt really unfair to you to not give an apology. But that meant more time passed and I kept putting it off. And more asks filled up my inbox meaning I would need to scroll further to get to this.
Anyway, I first want to say this so that you can know that the reason I didn't answer was because of my own stuff. Not because of you.
I really appreciated these progress reports and think it's cool to see how your headmate is developing. Thank you so much for sharing, and I'm sorry again that it took me this long to get to it.

This is a really cool observation. I wonder if it will remain true or if it will sort of level out over time. I'm curious because my own memories seem stronger from when I first formed. (Of course, I was journaling then too.) I wonder if this is a common headmate thing where we tend to remember things stronger when we first form.
I hope that these progress reports might later be useful for a guide on creating headmates through VR. Something like that would be really cool, and I don't think anyone in the tulpamancy community has made one yet.
Also, she really sounds like a wonderful and lovely person, and I hope you both are still doing great! Sending much love to you both! 💖💖💖
