using the computer at work to reply to this because i'm so angry. yes. it matters. don't try and make me feel bad for using a slur, because i don't ever use them on any other group/race of people. i wouldn't dare say he was beaten up by (the politically correct term) travellers, because a lot of travellers are genuinely nice people who get a bad name because of a certain few. this small group of people (pavees) are, generally speaking, the only group of people in my town who would target one of the nicest people i know, (while he was walking home from work) and beat him to the point where he now has cracked ribs, missing teeth, and a torn face, over a phone. i understand that it's not right to use slurs on any race of people, but this is the same group that have used death threats on members of my family and my friends, are constantly behind muggings and thefts in my town, and have actually harassed me and my co-workers at work multiple times. i don't know if pavee has a different meaning in scotland, but in my town it's a group of people who have terrorised the town population for over ten years, (i've been caught up in two muggings by them in the last two years and was only not beaten/robbed because i'm a girl) right now i'm more concerned with my friend being okay than i am with using a slur on a group of people who have only earned that name through their actions over the course of the last decade. where i live there's a distinct difference between being "beaten up" and "beaten up by pavees" so please don't try and call me out on something if you don't understand what it's like here. thanks. i should be allowed vent my anger on my own blog without people belittling it because of one goddamn word.
Viscacha. This thing has taken over my life.
i don't wanna message you back cause i wanna save those messages but thank you girl for real
