This morning I attended the college and found out whilst being there their was another guest photographer coming in to give the creative industries a talk and feel to his work his name was wes Kingsto.
Wes is originally from Ireland and began doing photography in his mid 20s once leaving school.When leaving school he decided to do some travel work. This when he took the opportunity to help his career and help him with his photos that were being going to be shot within his travels. He took the opportunity trade further a field and worldwide after attending college to move to Canada at 29.
He took a lot of photos while being abroad mainly involving storytelling with his images .
When doing this it helped to enlighten his name and a range of magazine companies and agencies contacted him. After listening to him he noted down some key points for being a photographer and things that are good to know when being involved in the industry he said in his talk that it is important to have confidence and always have pacific direction in where you are going as this can help you become proactive and not sit about wasting time.
When doing his work wes has worked with a range of photographers one he mentioned that I took note of was mark Sweeney and Alex Arthur I am also going to check these photographers work out. When working with Alex he shot some photographs for a campaign with Guinness this did not last long so after dong that wanted to go back and recreate a similar brief to the same sort of work .

Take all your opportunities
Always have to have an end goal
Try and include a story within your images story telling is key
