this one should be easier for me at least because i've got my fair share of experience with seers (casually double-seering over here. thank you sovereignstuck for helping me realise that by the way. everyone should go and read about the voidlife & doomlight in sovstuck right now)
VoidLife and DoomLight are complicated beasts. Their natures as Fundamental Opposites within Sovereignstuck is less based in pure Polarity, and more so based in a Yin and Yang type of relationship with one another.
You cannot have one without the other, or everything falls apart.
How Kausat and Retris interact with their Aspect Dual-Wielding helps emphasize this greatly. Though saddled with a similar burden, their respective handling of the issue drives home not only their differences as people, but their differences in Class and Abilities.
There’s subtle differences in how they view their Opposite Aspects, but the distinctions are instrumental in highlighting the methods in which they manifest their abilities. Retris views Doom as a Fundamental Extension of Light in the sense of you cannot truly acquire Light without knowing Doom. Kausat views Void as a Fundamental Extension of Life in the sense that Life cannot exist without the concept of Void.

Doom is about Control. It’s about Sacrifice, Futility. Acceptance of the Inevitable, and Caution. It’s knowing when to Stop, knowing when to Pull Back, knowing Necessity, and hypersensitivity to Consequences. Reality is a Figure of Speech- everything is subject to Change at any little misstep. Rules, to the Doombound, are a thing to be held in high regard.
Light is about Knowledge. It’s about Synthesis, Probability. Finding Loopholes to Every Possible Scenario, and Perception. It’s a Relentless Pursuit, an Endless Practice, knowing a Finite Reality but seeing Endless Possibility within it. It’s about a Cosmic Gamble- Pushing your Luck, and hoping for the best. Rules, to the Lightbound, are merely Suggestions.

Void is about the Unknown. It’s about Concealment, Secrecy. Things Best Kept in the Dark, and Simplicity. It’s Reveling in Obscurity, and Letting the Impossible Stay Unknown. It’s knowing that the Undisclosed will Present itself- if it’s meant to be Discovered. It is the Fine Print on a Contract you did not realize you were signing. Progress, to the Voidbound, is not something to force.
Life is about Growth. It's about Preservation, Loudness. The Rebellion Against What Stifles Prosperity, and Opulence. It’s a Disregard Towards the Impossible being Impossible, and Pursuit of Openness. It's striving towards Development and Desire with utmost Care, No Strings Attached. It is an Archive, the Hindsight necessary for Foresight into the Evolution of Life. Progress, to the Lifebound, is an essential part of living.

DoomLight and VoidLife are the Coexistence and Balancing of these things- seen and respected as two parts of a whole. One can’t healthily function without the other.
