Moana but with Voltron

This is based off of something @iamtheyaoiqueen mentioned on her blog. I really liked the idea so I ran with it? I might write something for it later! Basically, this is going to be a Moana AU thing?

Lance is the next chief of the island, Moto Nui (which is Moana’s island in the movie). His sister, Allura, wants him to take being the next chief seriously. Lance thinks the next chief should be her! He thinks he’s not suited for it. Not just that but the ocean keeps calling out to him. He prefers spending time on the beach or in the ocean than learning how to lead ‘his people’. That kind of stuff is Allura’s thing, not his.

Coran, the resident crazy man of the island and Lance’s uncle, agrees with Lance. Coran thinks Lance is more suited to sailing and venturing beyond the reef. In fact, most of the time, it’s Coran enabling Lance, telling him stories about islands beyond their own. The unfortunate thing is, however, there is no sailing past the reef. Moto Nui is a paradise and there’s no need to leave, ever. Plus, Lance can’t sail the oceans either way because he’s going to be the next chief of the island!

Well, none of that stops Lance from at least trying. He wants to see what’s beyond the reef, what else is past the horizon. He and his parrot friend, Rover, tries to leave Sadly, their boat capsizes and they’re sent almost drowning. After barely getting to shore, Lance swears off ever thinking of leaving. Instead, he’s going to throw away his life to please his family.

That’s what he planned to do until the fishes disappear from the island and the crops start drying up. Coran explains to Lance that it’s the darkness spreading. He then tells Lance about a legend. In the past, there were five Lion Gods. They maintained the world, making sure that everything was in balance. The Blue Lion took care of the seas, the Green Lion took care of the forests, the Yellow Lion took care of the mountains, the Red Lion took care of the volcanoes and the Black Lion took care of the skies. However, this even demigod, Lotor, stole the Lions’ source of power, their heart, also known as the Quintessence stones.

In fact, Coran has one of the Quintessence stones, the blue one. Apparently, when Lance was really young, the ocean brought him the stone. Of course, because Lance had a one track mind as a child, he accidentally left the stone on the beach. Thankfully, Coran was there to pick it up. Coran thinks Lance is the chosen one, the one destined to bring an end to the darkness.

At first, Lance refuses. Sadly, because of the darkness, Lance’s father, Alfor, is dying. The darkness just continues spreading, slowly consuming the island. Lance decides then that he doesn’t have a choice but to journey past the reef. His and Coran’s plan is to find Lotor, the demigod that stole the stones, and have him return them.

Lance packs a boat with the help of Coran. He brings his parrot friend with him and he begins his adventure hesitantly. Once Lance meets Lotor, the three unlikely heroes come together to find where the hell Lotor managed to lose the five stones (but also holy hell who loses five world-changing stones??). On their trip, they meet other people along the way and these people help them with their journey!

To further add to the AU, I was sort of concidering the other Paladins and how they applied to the AU? All I came up with is:

Shiro: Another kid chosen by the sky to return the black stone! He manages to get to Lotor about the same time as Lance does and joins their journey because he wants to help the extremely pretty stranger with beautiful blue eyes Lance

Keith: A demigod like Lotor who doesn’t really like other people much. He spends most of his time chilling inside a volcano, soaking in lava or something. He has two horns, a forked tongue, sharp claws and red eyes. Also, he spits lava which Lance thinks is both pretty cool and gross. Keith didn’t even know the red stone was on his island but reluctantly helps them because his island is also being affected.

Pidge and Matt: Two explorers with this super cool big boat. The two of them basically just travel the oceans, going from island to island. They found the green stone in one of the islands but they just thought it was jade or something, not a life altering stone. The gang meet Pidge and Matt when Keith accidentally sets fire to the sail or something. The two siblings rescue them and decide to help them.

Hunk: The son of the chief of another island. Apparently the yellow stone is an heirloom that has been passed down in his family, from chief to chief. Like Lance, Hunk doesn’t really want to be the next chief. In fact, all he wants is to travel from island to island, tasting all the different islands’ cuisine. When the crew meets Hunk, he joins them because he doesn’t want them to do anything bad to the family heirloom but also because he wants to help.

Okay, but consider:

Please keep in mind that, to everyone in the Voltron universe, the Paladins and everyone are celebrities, right? Like, hero’s for fighting Zarkon, or whatever. But, what do we do with celebrities?

That’s right!

We ship them.

What I’m saying is that surely, surely, there are some Voltron fangirls in the universe that are actually shipping the Paladins, right? Like, they’re doing everything we do, like make fan art and ship characters and write fanfiction, right?

So, DreamWorks.

Give us an episode of Voltron where it just follows, like, two teenage aliens that are obsessed with the team, and they go to a convention and ask questions to the Paladins and get things signed, and there’s a few lines like; “SHIRO! Oh my god! Half of my OTP! Where’s Matt?!” or somebody asking a question at a panel like, “Yo, Lance, when are you going to stop arguing with Keith and make out?”

Voltron self insert idea-ish

So like

I thought of an idea that could be a self insert kinda thing for voltron that includes Lotor

So like, it involves the Galra doing experiments on other species and such. Mixing DNA’s into other beings of other species to create hybrids. I know the Galra are big on being a ‘pure’ race and such, but I can see them doing that maybe just to test limits of science or create hybrids for war or something

The idea surrounds around Lotor managing to capture a human, and thus have that human be a subject. Injecting some kinda thing that makes the human shift over time to some type of hybrid. The process isn’t to painful, but it’s not the greatest. Probably a lot of body aches and feeling tired.

The human wouldn’t really be used for as a weapon of any kind, as they’re a normal human. Mainly just for science purposes and research. They get to stay in a room during their ‘stay’. Nothing to fancy, but nothing disastrous.

Lotor makes sure to check on them a lot, due to slight changes in behavior due to the little experiment. Along with things like heats/ruts, due to I imagine that’s a thing in their biology.

Due to Lotor’s frequent check ins and observations, he ends up getting more intrigued and interested in the human.

The human is of course more resistant and such at first. Though over time they just kind of accept the situation. That they won’t be able to change back and escape. And even if they did, they probably wouldn’t be welcomed back him on Earth due to not being fully human anymore.

The human ends up also growing close to Lotor, until the two develop feelings for each other and all that.

They tell each other about their cultures and all that, especially Lotor to the human due to them now living in his culture and stuff

I dunno, it’s just a cool idea to elaborate off of and stuff

An episode where Lotor sings "Go the distance" from Hercules when he's in banishment and when he's coming back to the galra empire. Cause all he wants to do is be celebrated and be told he's worth it.

An out of body experience

concept: 

One of the paladins is captured by the Galra together with their lion. The paladin is left in a cell on one side of the ship, the lion secured on the other. The paladin closes their eyes and feels for their lion, the bond is there but the lion can’t move on its own. 

On a whim, the Paladin remembers the exercise where they had to close their eyes and see through their lion’s. The bond is strong enough that the Paladin suddenly finds themselves looking through the lion’s eyes, in control of the lion’s body as if it were their own. The lion synchs up with the paladin and together they control the lion’s body to escape their confines.

There is chaos on the ship. The lion has escaped. Galra scramble to see if the Paladin is doing anything, but the paladin is just sitting in their cell, eyes closed and seemingly resting.

The lion breaks through the hull and shoots off into space. It circles the ship and breaks through into the prisoner area. There is a moment as the lion and paladin gaze down together at the paladin’s still body. It comes with a sense of displacement, like an out of body experience. It’s weird to look down on your own body, rescuing yourself.

Okay but I don't know if this is a stupid idea but consider an au where the Voltron team are "pro gamers" and they're at a big competition, but Lance is feverish (the team doesn't realize) and can't focus at all on the game and he can hear the commentators mentioning it, and growing super anxious over it. Keith is growing more frustrated by Lance messing up and when the round finishes, backstage, Keith completely blows up at Lance, saying they're going to lose now, etc. Lance is profusely apologizing, now swaying, and oops, he passes out completely. Keith catches him and the whole team is just "wtf just happened"

Voltron Conspiracy Acc Intro

Hello, my name is Blake and welcome to my account. I’ve been a dedicated to voltron since it first aired on Netflix and I even watched some of the older episode when I was a kid. I always wanted to participate in this amazing fandom somehow and with the constant ideas and conspiracies surfacing to my head why not be a conspiracy account for it!

I’ll cover any conspiracies brought to light (Ex. Clone Shiro, Keith’s Mom, Lotor), I’ll even answer if you’re just asking my opinion of something (ex. Ships, Characters, etc) I’ll answer them.
