Shout out to folks with Emetophobia!
I’m super nervous because I think I may be getting an IUD put in today... I’m not necessarily scared of the pain, but more so of the chance I will throw up. I am petrified of throwing up (literally haven’t thrown up in like 11 years) and I just need some advice on combating nausea during the insertion process?
Emetophobia sucks ass like what do you mean I feel sick because I haven't eaten much today?? And the only cure is to eat more?? And what do you MEAN I'm anxious because my tummy hurts but my anxiety makes my tummy hurt. Make it make sense!
Emetophobia tag?
Does anyone know if there's a tag for emetophobes to find help/resources and talk to each other (similar to the actuallyanxiety/actuallyanxious kind of tags)? The emetophobia tag is basically just used as a trigger warning, and while I'm glad that people are tagging their stuff, it would be nice to have a way to easily access other emetophobes' experiences and everything. I've looked at things like actuallyemetophobia/actuallyemetophobic, but these seem fairly empty/inactive and used only by a few people.
I legit have such a huge fear of vomit.
If I smell or see vomit on the bus I instantly start worrying that I'll get the stomach flu or that I'll come home and get sick myself and this thought haunts me for the next week or so. It really disrupts my life ffs.
Dear future s/o please don’t drink till you puke. Ever. I will not look you in the eye for a week.
my fav thing about getting better at anxiety is that i get to say things like, "oh i only want to throw up a little bit, i'm fine"
