High above the Atlantic Ocean lies the floating islands that hold the Roclan ruins. The Roclan were a winged race that scientists believe were another neo-race dealing with the Astral Awakening. While whole pieces of their civilization were able to pass through the Astral Plane, the neo-race itself did not seem to be able to survive along with them. Scholars remain fascinated learning about the people and their culture through the remains of both the bodies and the ruins. The only known living thing to have successfully passed through the Astral Plane was a Roc, a colossal bird, which Roclan text suggests is named Vronti. It is believed this Roc, while not their prime goddess Anqa, was still a venerated being that coexisted with the Roclan. The jewelry it wears was found on it when it was discovered. Vronti occasionally calls out with piercing cries from the Roclan temple tops. Many believe this is a call for its lost people that it cannot find, thus it forever waits for their reappearance in vain. While Vronti is technically classified as a Great Beast, it does not seem to share the others' antagonistic behaviors with mankind. It passively remains in its territory in the sky islands, leaving only to explore.
