Hey guys so what if I said Frankenstein (both the book and the 2025 movie) can be interpreted as stories about disabled children.

So in the book the monster is immediately abandoned by victor when he sees it actually come to life. The feel like this is really reminiscent of how many people unfortunately give up their children when they are born physically or mentally disabled and in some cases even abort the fetus before it’s born. (DISCLAIMER: I’m very pro choice and i understand that for many people they cannot care for a disabled child and I’m not trying to villainize them I swear) Victor brought the monster to life but was so disgusted by it that he just left it. He had the capacity to care for and raise but instead ran away, leaving what was essentially his child alone because it pretty much had a physical disability.

On the other hand, in the movie, Victor is not repulsed by the way the monster looked but by its seeming lack of intelligence. He thinks the monster is stupid and THATS why he hates it but it’s clear as the story continues that the monster is in fact extremely smart but just needed to be taught differently than Victor was trying to teach him. This, as opposed to a physical disability, mirrors the way that many children struggle with learning disabilities, most prominently autism, in school because schools just don’t really try to help them learn in the ways that work for them.

I literally couldn’t stop thinking about this all night. I’ll stop yapping now.

Twice in the past week, a TMNT project was cancelled.

First if was Tales, now it's the Last Ronin movie.

I've been having internet issues so i downloaded a bunch of fics to read, and I read through @qoldenskies's canary continuity and OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MY GOSH ITS AMAZING

before i read it i'd only ever seen random stuff about it (gold eyeshadow? and something about his brothers being absolutely horrible) and had been mostly following qolden for the villain donnie au but OMIGOSHHHHHHH IM SO GLAD I READ IT

(Also this was extremely 100% NOT intentional but there's a lot of parallels between this and the next BWEGFY chapter (WHICH WAS PLANNED OUT LONG BEFORE I READ THIS I PROMISE IM NOT A COPYCAT))
