Eliotropes vs Eliatropes

Origins and Nature The Eliatropes are an ancient, naturally born divine race created by the union of the Goddess Eliatrope and the Great Dragon. They possess true souls, hatch from Dofus eggs alongside dragon twins, and follow a reincarnation cycle. In contrast, the Eliotropes are artificial mirror images of Yugo, accidentally created through a time-space warp during his battle with Ogrest. Born as soulless reflections and temporal paradoxes, they lack their own identities and absorb the power and memories of fallen siblings to survive.

Appearance, Abilities, and Society Both races share similar Wakfu manipulation, portal creation, and distinctive large hats hiding non-human features. Eliatropes display glowing antler-like horns and built an advanced, peaceful civilization centered on exploration, knowledge, and family bonds. Eliotropes have pale skin, blue-tinted eyes, and dark markings, often emphasizing raw speed and combat. They never formed a stable society, living as scattered, forgotten anomalies plagued by identity crises and resentment toward their "creator" Yugo.

Key Themes and Fate Eliatropes represent mythic legacy, divine creation, and cosmic impact, with their king Yugo at the center of a rich cultural history. Eliotropes embody imitation, existential tragedy, and the pain of being incomplete copies — amplifying Yugo’s fighting spirit and loneliness into darker extremes. While Eliatropes persist through reincarnation despite past catastrophes, the Eliotropes are largely extinct, their brief existence highlighting themes of abandonment and the dangers of unchecked desire.

I'm usually pretty good at just going with the flow when it comes to Wakfu lore, since it's pretty complicated and a lot of stuff ties to the games, which I have not played.

But I got a question for the Dofus/Wakfu lore knowers.

So, there's Joris, right? Specifically Wakfu times Joris. And then there's Atcham and Kerub, who in Wakfu call Joris dad. But I just found out, that Kerub is also Joris' adoptive father. So, uh, what's the situation there? Is it similar to how Dally is kinda Goultard's dad (but not really because reincarnation does not mean literally the same person) and how he calls Elely and Flopin his little siblings? Is it timey-wimey or rebirth/reincarnation stuff or something else?

Wakfu - an Eliatrope Headcanon

I’ve been thinking. What if the eliatropes had developped and army after leaving their original world? What if they had used their incredibly advanced technology (the zenith, the heliacube, zaap portals and all that jazz) to make weapons and protect themselves from new potential threats?

I mean, I don’t know many civilizations who didn’t start preparing for an attack after they’d been invaded/harmed/remotely threatened by another civilization, so I don’t really get why the eliatropes decided they’d stay pacific and all sugar-honey-like people though they’d mostly been massively genocided against a few centuries ago...

I think it would have spiced things up a bit if they had built an army or something, made the story just a little more belivable (not that I don’t already love it like it is, don’t get me wrong). I think it would‘ve given another layer of responsabilities to Yugo, you see, as the lost king of an ancient warrior nation who doesn’t know shit about his people’s history and customs.

So yeah, My Headcanon is: Warrior Nation Eliatropes, who still got destroyed by Orgonax with the help of an army of alien allies or something.

Origins and Creation

Eliatropes are an ancient, naturally born humanoid race created at the dawn of the Krosmoz. They originated from the union (or "second dance") between the Goddess Eliatrope (embodiment of Wakfu) and the Great Dragon (embodiment of Stasis). The first six Eliatropes each hatched from a Dofus alongside a dragon twin, forming the Eliatrope Council that ruled their civilization. Subsequent Eliatropes incarnated naturally through reincarnation cycles tied to their Dofus. They are a full, soul-bearing race with deep cultural and technological history, including the invention of portals (Zaaps) that still exist in the World of Twelve.

Eliotropes (note the "o" spelling) are not a natural race. They are artificial mirror images or reflections of Yugo (the God-King in this context), created accidentally through a time-space warp. This happened when Yugo, during his fight against Ogrest, wielded the power of the Six Eliatrope Dofus. His deep desire to reunite with his people manifested as spiritual clones of himself, scattered across time (appearing thousands of years in the past). They lack true souls of their own, are often forgotten by the world, and their creator (Yugo) initially didn't even know they existed. Over time, as individual Eliotropes died, their power and memories transferred to the survivors, extending lifespans and blending more of Yugo's traits into the group. By the series era, Oropo claims to be the last one after inheriting everything from his "siblings."

In short: Eliatropes are divine descendants with a proper creation myth and reincarnation system. Eliotropes are flawed, paradoxical echoes born from a freak accident and Yugo's unresolved longing.

Appearance and Abilities

Both races share strong visual and power similarities, which makes sense given the Eliotropes' origins as Yugo copies:

They wear large, distinctive hats (with movable "ears") to hide non-human head features.

They manipulate Wakfu expertly, especially for creating portals, energy attacks, and teleportation.

Eliatropes typically have glowing horns (like deer antlers) under their hats, formed from pure Wakfu energy that can manifest as wings.

Eliotropes have very pale/milky skin, blue-tinted eyes (sometimes including the sclera), and dark blue markings/tattoos. Their Wakfu manifestations (like wings or portals) may differ slightly in shape.

Eliotropes often emphasize speed ("move at the speed of lightning") and portal-based combat, mirroring Yugo's fighting style but with a more unstable or "cursed" edge due to their artificial nature.

Society, Culture, and Fate

Eliatropes built an advanced, peaceful civilization on their original homeworld (before Qilby's actions forced an exodus). They value exploration, knowledge, family (especially twin bonds with dragons), and harmony. Their society included laws set by past kings like Chibi, scientific achievements (e.g., the Eliacube, though Qilby played a major role), and a close maternal bond with their goddess. They faced near-destruction from the Mechasm war but persist through reincarnation. In later seasons, surviving Eliatropes (including the Council members) return to interact with the World of Twelve under their goddess's influence.

Eliotropes had no stable society of their own. Scattered through time as paradoxes, they lived in isolation or small groups. They gradually absorbed Yugo's memories, feelings, and desires, leading to identity issues—they longed for what Yugo had (a people, acceptance, purpose) but felt like incomplete copies. Many died over centuries, with power consolidation making survivors stronger but more burdened. Oropo’s group (the Brotherhood of the Forgotten/Siblings) formed as a response to this bitterness, seeking revenge on Yugo and the gods for neglect. They worship Yugo as the God-King (symbolized by portals) but often resent him. By the main series, the race is effectively extinct except for lingering influences or Oropo himself.

Krosmos Lore: Simplified

Ok just spit balling but how many of you guys would follow a Wakfu blog dedicated to the lore of the Krosmos? A blog with posts about the different pieces and eras, starting with the birth of the Kosmos and leading up to the brotherhood of the tofu/ rebirth of the Eliatropes, that explains stuff like the Universe and universe, the primordial dragons vs the eliatrope dragons, pocket dimensions, the nitty gritty of the eliacube?
