Do u know maybe what is Richard’s problem and snarky comments towards Jared? He is always so nice to Jensen, girls, Rob obv and even Misha. So what is his problem with Jared? And when it started and did Jared ever said something back to him?
RSJ was invited to direct a bunch of episodes on Walker. One time he wanted to have lunch with Jared and Jared denied bc he was busy. That apparently was the first strike. And then Jared put his foot down and stopped Speight to go overtime with shooting. The Walker Set was efficient and they had the rule that they would not shoot longer than 10 hours a day, so that cast and crew could get home to their families (and no Fraturdays, which means they wrapped on Friday and didn't shoot into Saturday). And Speight wanted to break that rule bc he had a vision of a shot he wanted to do and Jared said no.
RSJ knew Jared as the goofy, funny, easy going guy from SPN (despite him being no 1 on the callsheet and not shy of confrontations, Jared was the one to talk to tptb if something wasn't right) and he probably thought that he would be easy to convince to give him the overtime. But on Walker Jared wasn't just no 1 on the callsheet but also a heavily involved and hands-on EP, so Speight got to know smart business "shark" Jared.
And after this RSJ wasn't invited back to Walker and Speight seems to hold a big grudge if his snide remarks at cons and the TEN Podcast is any indication. And they all crawl up Jensen's ass in the hope that he'll give them work somehow. Bc the bridges to Jared are burned.
If you look whom Jared chose to include in his projects: Mitch Pileggi, Jake Abel, Mark Sheppard. Speight not as an actor but a director bc he admires RSJ style (and yes, Speight has a good eye for scenes). But that's it. None of the other leeching extras on the (CE) convention roster...
