WHEN: June 27th, 4:55 PM ST WHERE: Left of the docks of Ratchet
Its’s that time again for our monthly Soup Kitchen, but this time it’s themed to celebrate pride month! Azeroth Peace Council has teamed up with @warcraftpride as a scheduled Azeroth Pride event to celebrate the colorful lives here on Azeroth as well as many of the players who enjoy this universe. Not only that, but with our usual pattern of changing our menus for certain holidays we’ve went from soft reds and gold to rainbow galore with a whole new special menu specifically for this month! Characters and players of all walks of life are encouraged to come hang out with us at our monthly faction neutral sanctuary event to enjoy good food, companionship and ease. No matter who you love or how you identify - you have our support and will be welcome here with open arms. Because this month, we celebrate pride and we are all so very proud of you.
What is the Soup Kitchen?: The APC Soup Kitchen is a once a month , faction-neutral event that happens on the last Thursday of every month. We provide a sanctuary space in our own safe corner of Ratchet for characters who are poor, struggling, traveling, or have little access to aid and rest. If you need healing, food, or rest feel free to stop on by! Everyone is allowed, from Kaldorei to retired orcish war vets just trying to find a meal.
Along with teaming up with Warcraft Pride, The Azeroth Peace Council is also teaming up with @leylinesforlife to support their cause of raising money for the charity Rainbow Railroad. All month long, Leylines for Life will be raising money all month to support this cause for the charity and our Kitchen will be aiding in it’s support. What is Rainbow Railroad? Rainbow Railroad is a Canadian based charity focused on helping LGBT people all over the world out of dangerous and life threatening situations with no where to turn due to enviroment and goverment. Rainbow Railroad helps these people seek out safe havens from murder, persecution and state enabled violence.
Leylines for Life will be helping close of Azeroth Pride on the 29th and 30th, at the Temple of the Jade Serpent with the 29th being a market and carnival type celebration with booths and good and the 30th being the closing ball with food, dancing, contests and the raffle drawing. Because by donating at least 5 dollars, and showing proof to the coordinators with a screenshot, you will be added to the raffle for fabulous art prizes. And doing so may just save someone.
