Various Warlord!Geralt stories with what I remember them by, which, generally, isn't a good summary of the fic.

Starting with the one that started it all, and the one with Jaskier's lovely song cycle: With a Conquering Air by inexplicifics.

The one where Jaskier is cursed not to speak/the one with cannibalism by nobles: The Fettered Lark by hoomhum.

The one I keep thinking is A/B/O but isn't, and has the Witcher's tending a herd of wisen: as long as the sun and the moon are above by pallidus.

The actual A/B/O fic with Courting: A Wedding to a Warlord by MessengerGabriel.

The one with lots of tributes present in the keep/Witcher Renfri!: raised by wolf and voices by CountessKlair.

The one where Geralt didn't mean to become a warlord but the person he left in charge thinks him warlord/sends tribute: Also Fettered Lark.

That one where Jaskier is the first tribute, but wagons full had come before him, mostly ending up stuffed in storage, including a lute: Do I have to be who I am? by persephonesprince

not super big on the warlord au but something that does make me laugh is other kingdoms trying to interact with the witchers and sending big fancy gilded elaborately written Official Letters and treaties and such and getting back a ratty piece of parchment that just says "yeah ok"

The Plot Bunnies Made Me Do It! This teeny-tiny snipped was inspired by @inexplicifics‘s Warlord!Geralt Tribute!Jaskier (I read the entire series multible times, srly its soooo good)

Meet Carlotta Widukind and her brother Ronan.

Arrival at the Keep

Hesitantly Carlotta raised her hand to knock at the great wooden gate, but before her hand could connect with the wood a small door left of her opened.

“Yes?” the man asked, he had cat’s eyes, a witcher.

“I heard you are in need of a gardener, I’m here to offer my services.”

“Is that so?”, the witcher’s nose twitched, “Well, come on then.” He stepped back and opened the door wider, so she could lead the mule through. He frowned at the sight of Ronan, sleeping on the mule’s back, nest to our few earthly possessions. 

“An’ who’s this?”

“Ronan, my little brother.” She answered, taken aback by the size of the keep, not much was known about Kaer Morhen, not because the Warlord made a big effort out of keeping it a secret, the dangerous and long trail did that all on its own.

“Hmm. You’ll have to talk to Jan, the steward, about the position.” He pulled her back into the present, “Take the boy and I’m gonna take you to ‘im, the steward I mean. One of the stable boys is gonna take care of that mule.”

“Thank you.” She said and gathered up the still sleeping Ronan.

Witchers, apparently, weren’t terrible talkative, at least this one didn’t say another word for the entire walk to the steward’s office. 

The door was ajar and Carlotta could hear two, no three, voices talking.

“Jan,” the witcher called and walked into the office without as much as knocking, “We still looking for a gardener?” 

She followed him into the office.

AU Warlord!Geralt receives Tribute!Jaskier as a sacrifice to appease him in every way possible. Jaskier has no choice on the matter and he’s fully aware of the awful rumours that have spread about Geralt and his ruthless conquests. (But we all know those aren’t legit.)
