you and 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝 once—as a prank—decided to pretend that the two of you were playing a prank on 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬. it was easily one of the most entertaining things the two of you had done.
it started out with suspicious stares—eyes lingering a little too long on him, and lips a little too upturned to be considered normal. the captain raised a questioning eyebrow, and the two of you looked away too quickly, 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝'𝐬 chest ever so slightly shaking with laughter.
and then the giggles started. you'd look at 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 briefly and then back at 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝, and the two of you would break into a small fit of laughter. it was enough to peak the others' curiosity, but neither of you said anything.
after all, there wasn't anything to come forward about.
𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝 suggested that you both started fixating your gazes on his scarf a bit, pretending like it was somehow related. 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 took it off and looked it over twice trying to see if there was something wrong with it.
it did eventually get to the point where you and 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝 couldn't even look at each other or the captain without laughing. every bit of strength had to be used to keep a straight-ish face when 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 looked at you.
he would've been a lot more annoyed if it wasn't for the fact that it was coming from their youngest—the one he truly considered to be a little brother. and unfortunately, this was little siblings behavior.
𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 eventually tackled the sailor to the ground randomly, demanding answers from the hysterically laughing child, not letting him move until he relented. but you swooped in like the knight in shining armor he was supposed to be and pinned 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 to the ground, giving 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝 enough time and room to get out.
"there's nothing wrong with you!" the sailor cackled, fleeing with you in tow. "nothing's going on at all!"
because, well, there was nothing going on.
a/n: i do a lot of random rambles/thoughts on my smut blog. thought i'd start rambling here too
Merry Christmas! Here's the last part of my short Scopophobia series! I'll probably write more for this in the future, because Wars and Isekai!Reader are fun to rotate in my mental microwave (They're having fun in there, I swear. Ignore the screaming :))

First┃ Prev┃ Part 3 (you are here)
Warriors wasn’t with the others when you rejoined them in the upper levels of the dungeon. He wasn’t at camp when the nine of you returned hours later, covered in monster bits from a boss fight with what Wild called a molduga, Wind called a molgera, and you called pure nightmare fuel. (You can still picture its mouth as it tried to swallow you, with rows upon rows of sharp teeth formed into perfect rings all the way down its throat.)
When dinner came and Warriors still wasn’t back, Twilight decided to go look for him. You volunteered to go with him. Time gave you a confused look, but didn’t question it.
“Ya know, ya don’t have to look for him,” Twilight says as soon as you’re out of earshot of the others, “We all know how he is around you.” He scowls, mentally recalling the times Wars had snapped at you for seemingly no reason. Like the time he had scolded you for wearing keychains because they “didn’t show readiness for combat.” Or the time he rearranged the marching order to put you near the front, even though you weren’t combat trained. OR the time he had refused to let you take watch, even though the rest of the group was tired from a fight, and then blamed you for the people who did get assigned watch being groggy the next day.
“I know,” you sigh, “but I feel bad, you know? I… may have said some things I shouldn’t have after we fell into that basement level. I should at least say sorry.”
“Gonna be honest, doll, I can’t think of a single thing you could say that would warrant apologizing to him,” Twilight nearly growls as he says it.
You frown.
He changes tactics.
“What, you tell him his cape is tacky?”
“I think it’s a scarf, actually. And you’re one to talk! Walking around in a wolf pelt while pretending to not be Wolfie,” you jab his side playfully.
“It’s stylish!” he laughs.
“It’s obvious,” you shoot back, “The only reason no one has figured it out is because you’re all denser than a box of rocks.”
“Ouch, you wound me,” he holds a hand to his chest, as if struck by an arrow. He smiles. You roll your eyes, but the corners of your lips can’t help but pull upwards. Satisfied that you’re at least smiling again, Twilight shifts from Hylian to wolf and puts his nose to the ground, sniffing for Warriors’ scent. You follow behind, key chains clinking together on your belt as you walk.
It doesn’t take long to find him. In fact, he appears to be walking back in the direction of camp when he comes into view. He looks startled to see you, quickly tucking something into his, admittedly, kind of tacky scarf-cape.
“Ah! What are you doing here?” It sounds less like a question and more like an accusation.
“Looking for you,” you explain, eyes narrowing. Was he about to start something again? “The guys are a little worried you just up and vanished.”
“Then why aren’t they out looking for me?” he shifts uncomfortably.
“Maybe I’m just the first person you ran into,” you say. It’s not technically a lie. Twilight is out looking for Warriors. He just also happens to be a wolf at the moment. And standing right next to you. Speaking of, Wolfie exhales loudly beside you, either at your comment or Wars’ presence. It’s unclear. You pat his head.
“Sure,” Warriors narrows his eyes. He looks like he’s about to go off on you again, but he doesn’t.
A moment passes in awkward silence.
“Welp, now that we know you’re not dead I guess I can go back,” you give an awkward smile and spin on your heel, beginning to walk away.
“Huh? W-wait!” he calls out. You freeze, then slowly turn around, eyes wide. Wolfie tips his head to the side inquisitively, looking about as confused as you felt. Was he going to scold you again? Accuse you of not caring about your friends again? You swear, if he starts running his mouth, with Twilight as a witness, you will strangle this man.
Warriors looks away, rubbing the back of his neck. Was he nervous? What???
“... I swear, I’m usually better at this… Um,” he refuses to look in your eyes as he speaks. “It’s come to my attention that I have been… unfair. To you.”
“Are you… apologizing?” you nearly choke on your own spit from shock.
“You don’t need to sound so surprised!” he cries indignantly, voice raising. Wolfie growls, and you pet his head again, this time tangling your fingers through his fur. Wars takes a deep breath before continuing, his voice returning to a normal volume. “It’s clear I’ve been unjustly biased against you due to my past, so I uh. Got you this.” He reaches behind him, into his scarf-cape thing, procuring a box from the folds of the fabric and dropping it into your hands.
“This isn’t a bomb, is it?” you lean away from the box in your hands. You’re only half-joking. Wolfie sniffs it, then nods approvingly. You hope it was a ‘Yeah, this gift is alright’ nod and not a ‘Yes, you are correct. Wars has, in fact, handed you explosives in an attempt to kill you’ nod.
“Just open it!” he sighs exasperatedly. You do so slowly, still half-convinced it will explode in your face. You reach in. Nothing stabs your fingers, so that’s a good sign. You close your fist around something metal and pull it out of the box. You wince as you do, but nothing happens. You open your eyes.
“It’s a keychain,” you blink, gently holding it in one hand. It honestly looks more like one of those dangly earrings than anything else, with a tiny gem on the bottom of a short chain. The top had been modified to look more like the wrapped metal of your other keychains.
“I, uh, saw one of yours broke. It was under that moving statue in the dungeon,” Wars shoves his hands into his pockets, kicking the dirt with his boot. He doesn’t look at you as he talks, instead pretending to find something very interesting about the bark on a nearby tree. “Now you have a replacement.”
“...Why?” you ask, clutching the keychain to your chest. The box drops out of your hand, and Wolfie sniffs the inside, then stands up with the box still on his head.
“You’re not Cia,” Wars shrugs, “You creep me out, and the thought of you watching me while I was in the war is terrifying, but you haven’t acually… done anything like her. So… I’m sorry.”
Wolfie whips his head back and forth, attempting to free himself from the box.
“...Thank you,” you say. Your stomach is doing flips. “I-I’m sorry too. I shouldn’t have said half of what I did on the stairs.”
“It probably needed saying,” Wars admits, “I was, uh, kind of being a jerk. Have been for pretty much the whole time you’ve been here. And I can’t promise I won’t be… jumpy. And I’ll probably still get uncomfortable when you talk about our… ‘games’... but I don’t… I don’t want to hate you.”
Wolfie runs face-first into a tree, box still firmly in place.
“I don’t want to make you uncomfortable,” you frown.
“You don’t,” he pinches the bridge of his nose, “It’s nothing you do, per se. It’s all just… reminders.”
“I can try to be less of a reminder?” you offer.
“...Thanks,” Warriors breaths out, halfway between a sigh and a chuckle. “But I don’t think that’ll work. You… the thought of you… looking at me. It’s enough to make me…” He doesn’t finish his sentence, but you can guess enough about what he means.
“Brain do be funky,” you agree with a nod. And that’s enough. There’s nothing left to say.
Wolfie sits back, attempting to use his front legs to grab the box on his head. He is unsuccessful.
“Well, if the guys are all worried about where I am I suppose I should be headed back to camp.” Warriors waves, then walks, admittedly much faster than necessary, towards the camp.
You watch him go back through the forest for a moment before looking away. You don’t offer to go with, but you can feel like something’s changed. That tomorrow when you wake up and hand out breakfast plates, he won’t grimace at you and eye the food suspiciously. That the next time you fumble in a fight, he won’t berate your inexperience quite so much. That things will get better, maybe not right away, but eventually. You clip his gift onto your belt loop, next to your other keychains. The tiny jewel clinks against the enamel characters.
Then you look over at Wolfie, who is on his back and flailing around with a box stuck on his face.
“Twi? Hold on,” you laugh, reaching down and taking the box off the poor wolf’s snout. Man, opposable thumbs sure are useful. After a quick glance around, the wolf turns back into a hylian.
“He’s gone?” Twilight sits up, sounding both offended and dissapointed. He looks around the forest again, just to make sure Warriors truly is gone. His hair is splayed wildly in all directions. “Man, I didn’t get to hear any of that!”
“Well, some might take issue with you eavesdropping on private conversations as an animal,” you scold, offering him a hand. He takes it, using it to pull himself up.
“Aw, you knew I was here,” he waves his hand dismissively.
“Wars didn’t,” you raise an eyebrow. Twilight blows a raspberry at the mention of the other hero.
“Come on, what did I miss?” he practically begs as you turn to begin your hike back to camp. You touch the key chains at your waist, the tip of your finger running over the one metal chain that doesn’t quite match.
At this rate I'm gonna wind up with a "reader can't sleep" cuddle fic for all of the boys cause I sure as hell can't. (I also have zero clue what to name this- that's a problem for another day)
Warriors x reader
Warnings: just some good ol fluff and cuddles for our best captain
Wars vaguely recalls hearing the door hinges creak open as he is brought back into semi-awareness. It's dark, an unusual silence filling the space around him that tells his mind that it's far too late to be awake right now. His limbs are still heavy with sleep, barely able to lift his head up from where it rested on the soft yet lumpy pillow that he would adamantly deny had a small patch of drool on.
Muscles tense at the sight of a shadowy figure approaching the bed, hand diving for the small knife kept close by. Fingers skim its handle before pulling away with a relieved sigh, eyes finally adjusted to the darkness to reveal you tip toeing across the wooden floor of his room rather than an enemy coming to strike him down in his sleep.
Wars quickly looks around for the shirt he knew he discarded close by, finding it well across the floor and out of reach. His eyes drift back to you, noting the way you shuffle closer, hand rubbing repeatedly over your eyes that look like they are still closed, a frustrated sort of exhaustion written in the crease of your brows pinned together. You hair is tangled, thrown about to the side in a mess of unbrushed locks that cascade over your bare shoulder, which brings Wars attention to the next detail. You're barely dressed, sauntering closer and closer to him in only a thin nightgown that looks like it barely covers everything it's supposed to. He can't stop his eyes from grazing over the areas of exposed skin gleaming in the sliver of moonlight, outlining the curves and muscles that detail your form, sharpening as you come closer.
Pushing up onto his elbows, Wars can feel the heat rushing to his face, spreading from the tip of his ears and down well past his shoulders as you reach his bedside. He stammers out your name, curious what could possibly have brought you to his room of all places in the middle of the night. He was fairly certain you were sharing a room with some of the others tonight, and he refuses to think about the others having been able to see you like this, eyes probably having roamed over your body like he had just done without a second thought. The idea burns a fire in his gut, both from a misplaced sort of jealousy and the other from guilt at his own unchivalrous actions.
The mattress dips and he's forced to focus back on the matter at hand and not on how he plans to reprimanded everyone in your room come morning. You've sat down on the edge of the bed, staring at the empty space between him and the beds edge silently, hesitating like you were contemplating whether to lay down or get up and walk right back out the door. Now that you're closer he can see the tension in your back and shoulders, the way your fingers ever so slightly reach out in his direction, eyes barely flickering up to meet his questioning gaze.
"Y/n? Do you need something?" It's barely a whisper as his hand slides over the silky sheets till his fingertips brush over yours. You don't speak, or even look at him properly before you're scooting closer, body curling up against his like you were trying to meld your bodies into one.
Words, even the air in his lungs, fail him for a moment, immobilized by your sudden action that all he can do is stare at your now resting form that's partially slung on top of him. What was he supposed to do? Was he even supposed to do anything? Were you feeling ill? Maybe you were sleep walking, that would explain this out of pocket visit right? And Wars knew to never wake someone when they were sleep walking. But then what does he do? Lay here like a stunned bokoblin? He could make you more comfortable, maybe lay you next to him rather than the strewn about position you currently laid in? But that would risk waking you up. So maybe he could just....hold you? His eyes gaze downward at you, or rather all of the expanse of bare skin, wondering where the hell to put his hands to begin with.
He decides your back is likely his safest option, since most of it being clothed up to your shoulder blades. Hylia why did his own skin feel like he was being scorched by Volgia's flames right now? The palms of his hands were sweating, fingers shaking in time to the racing heart beating wildly in his chest to the point its pounding pulse could be heard in his ears. His hand lands in the middle of your back, the smooth silky fabric of your nightgown cool to his touch while his fingertips stretch out a bit too high, skimming over the hem to feel the warmth of soft skin that lays beneath.
You stir, nose brushing over his collar bone with a drawn out sigh of content. He can feel your body sink further into him, limbs curling around him like a makeshift body pillow.
"You"
The mumbled response to his earlier question brings an embarrassingly large smile to his face, his confidence eating up your pleased reaction to his touch.
Fuck, he hadn't realized how much he had missed this sort of thing. Despite the awkwardness of the situation as a whole, he has to admit- this feels incredibly nice. The feel of your skin on his, without the crippling pressure for him to give more than he was willing to. Your constant warmth and weight draped over him like a blanket, keeping him grounded and reassured. One by one his muscles began to relax, arms wrapping around you to hold you snug against him. Another pleased hum from you and he finds himself right back where he started a few minutes ago, his head back on the pillow, eyes closed and breathing returning to its steady rhythm.
His fingers dance across your shoulders, lazily tracing lines down the length of your arm till his hand clasps around yours, holding it gently on his chest.
"Night Link," you mumble, breath warm and comforting on his shoulder. He smiles, despite the yawn that tears through him, dragging him one step further back into his drramland. He settles down even further, resting his cheek against the top of your hair, whispering you goodnight with a small kiss to the top of your head. One he will deny giving you as much as the amount of drool still clinging to the case of his pillow in the morning.
This is a Wars x reader au, I have a bunch of ideas but can't seem to write it. Loosely in chronological order? Here's like 3k words worth of scenes and a bare bones plot with angst
If you have questions about the au feel free to ask
If you want to write for the au / are inspired by it I'd love to see whatever you come up with!
Joining the side of evil isn't something you remember wanting to do, but here you are anyway. Life rarely goes the way anyone plans, a fact that almost anyone can attest to. War also very rarely goes according to plan.
When you mix life and war together, the outcome is often tragic and unpredictable.
When you are given the deal that changes everything, how can you turn it down?
Yes, you leave behind the love of your life.
Yes, you leave behind the two boys you were raising.
Yes, you put a target on your back.
Yes, you lose the trust of everyone you love.
Yes, you watch the betrayal cross the faces of those you hold dearest.
However, none of that matters anymore, not when you compare it to the benefits of switching sides.
If you work for Ganon, Cia, and the others then you can play damage control and keep your boys alive.
You never expect them to find out or forgive you, but you will play the bad guy to save them.
Anytime.
All the time.
The choice to switch sides is how you find yourself working for the shadow that is hunting down the heroes.
Working for the shadow opens up all sorts of doors for you, and since you're here, you would be a fool not to take them.
As long as you don't remember the betrayal in Link's eyes every time he sees you, everything is great!
You get to see your ex, flirt with him, keep him live, and learn more magic.
Sure, there's the atrocities, but that isn't your department.
Your department is Hero Hunting, and you are very good at making it look like you are doing your best and closer every time.
"Do try to catch the hero of skies for me this time," Cia says as she looks you over. "I want to see how he ticks. You know?"
"I don't. I'll see what I can do," you say with a smile that makes your skin crawl.
"Good," Cia says.
You just watch her right back. You can't reasonably fight her, but you can stare her down.
She is the worst kind of person. The kind of person that manipulates and ignores boundaries just to break one down into 'loving' her.
"If you see our captain, be sure to tell him I say hello," Cia says sweetly.
You bite back the comment that wants to rise up. How dare she objective anyone like that?! It's worse that it's Link, or it is to you.
"Can I go?"
"Just be quick," Cia sighs.
You nod as you teleport away.
Magic washes over you, and you emerge just far enough away from the clearing that houses the heroes that you are out of sight.
You set your shoulders and put on your persona.
All you have to do is pretend you are happy to he on this side.
You laugh as you enter the clearing where the heroes gather, drawing all eyes to yourself.
Those who know you give you looks varying between weary and angry.
"What do you want?" The Captain from your world demands darkly.
You give a smile, "I just have a message for you, Hero Boy!"
Oh, you certainly have a message for him. You can only hope he listens.
"Don't call me that," the captain - Warriors these days or so you hear - sneers.
You roll your eyes. "Then what should I call you?"
"Just don't talk to me, hm? You excelled at that once, didn't you?" Warriors raises one brow in challenge.
You ignore the ache in your chest. That weakness gets people killed.
It gets him killed.
You stalk forwards until you're within touching distance of your era's hero. "Perhaps I'll simply call you by your military title, Captain."
The others tense and draw weapons, but no one acts. Not just yet.
"What do you want? You're wasting time we don't have," Warriors raises his sword with one hand, the point of his blade rests a hair width from your throat.
If anyone else held their sword this close to you, you would be terrified.
This isn't anyone else, though.
This is Link Tailler, Hero of the Eras, and you feel no fear with his blade at your throat.
"Relax, Captain, I'm off duty," you wink as you hold both hands up.
The action echoes the past in ways that makes you want to crack.
"Talk or leave, Lieutenant," he sneers.
You raise a brow, but you don't particularly have time to taunt or tease any further. You are on a clock, and if your bosses find you, it's game over.
"You need to take your friends as far from here as you can by nightfall. Don't stay in the open if you like having all your limbs," you tell him in a low and serious voice.
You are not begging.
You are only warning.
"Why would we trust you?" Sailor demands angrily.
Warriors just stares at you, gaze sweeping across your form as he runs mental calculations.
He is always so pretty when he puzzles things out, crystalline eyes that are like ice covering a deep blue lake.
"I'm risking my life here, Sailor," you offer with a wry smile.
"Yeah, right," the boy scoffs. "I should run you through right now."
"Captain would beat you to it. Either way, I'd stay clear of the northeast if I was a hero."
Sailor growls.
"Get out of here before I remove you myself," Warriors commands.
You just laugh, backing up. "Always a pleasure, Hero Boy. Til our blades clash next."
You glance around the others as you back up. Everyone is well enough to travel.
Good.
"Next time I see, you had better be at your sentencing," Warriors informs you cooly.
You laugh because the other option is to cry.
You refuse to cry in front of anyone. You know better than that.
"Watch out for shadows!" You call as you sink into your own shadow.
Oh, magic is something you adore greatly. It is what allows you the stolen warnings.
All you can do is hope your Hero Boy listens.
-------
Warriors finds himself all alone in the collusuem with his brothers stuck in the stands. He doesn't trust this. Not even a little.
You emerge from his shadow before him, smiling with a warmth he misses.
"Hero Boy, you look tired," you tell him, voice lilting as if you care.
"You're always so charming," Warriors grits out.
He wants to sink into your arms despite it all. They are the only place he ever feels completely safe, and that feeling should be gone.
He's supposed to despise you.
You betrayed him!
You're still you, though.
Under it all.
"It's all part of the game, Captain," you wink at him.
Your eyes are puffy as if you have deep bags that make up covers.
Are you sleeping? He can't help but hope you are.
"And what is the game this time?"
You just laugh. The sound is hollow, and he hates it.
Warriors misses your real laugh.
"You fight for your freedom, Hero Boy."
"Against who?"
"Me!" You declare.
Warriors feels his stomach drop.
He dosen’t want to fight you. Ever
Even after everything, even after you sided with Cia and broke his heart, he can't find it in himself to truly want to hurt you.
A part of him yearns for the truth to be what you say. You say there's 'too much to handle, and this is the only real way.'
He wants there to be a good reason behind your betrayal.
Even if there isn't...
Warriors dosen’t want to hurt you. Anyone but you, even in these circumstances.
"And that's fair how?" Warriors asks with a brow raise.
You give a weak giggle, cracking a little. "Oh, Hero Boy, who ever said it was fair? They lied to you."
"You'd know about lying, wouldn't you?" Warriors scoffs.
You just shake out your shoulders. "Aw, you miss me enough to be hurt still? I'm flattered!"
"Shut. Up."
You soften, just a little. "Let's dance, Hero Boy. You have freedom to fight for."
"Not to lose?"
"All you have to do is beat me, Captain."
"You say that like you're an easy opponet."
You tilt your head, giving a vicious laugh. "I believe in you, Hero Boy!"
It cracks his heart into even more pieces, the way the words both soothe and hurt. The idea of anyone believing in him hurts and makes him hope... but for you to believe in him? Even now? Even after it all?
He needs to believe it, and yet he can not let himself hope.
-------
You sit, carefully placing Warriors' head on your lap as you settle in for the time being.
The hole you're both in has rock piling in the exit with just enough gaps for air.
You won't be leaving any time soon.
Warriors is unconscious after the fall, but the potion is working its magic, so it should be okay.
Letting yourself believe this is like old times is not a good choice.
You wish this could be, though.
"Easy, Hero Boy, you're going to be fine," you soothe when Warriors stirs.
There's a soft whine of an endeavor you miss.
"Dove..." He whines.
"I'm here."
" 's a d'eam.... why gotta leave me?" Warriors slurs out with just barely intelligible sounds.
You take a breath. "Go back to sleep, Hero Boy."
"Miss real y'." He slurs out again, ears twitching.
You smile, soft and sad. "I miss you too, Link... you have to move on, though. At least one of us should be happy."
"Y're pr'y wh'n ha'..." He groans out.
"Just sleep," you chide fondly.
Running your fingers through his hair soothes him like it always does. The soft blond locks are familiar under your touch, and you miss getting to do this.
His breathing evens out as he slowly drifts into a deep sleep.
You can only hope it allows him to rest.
-------
The ball is in full swing by the time you arrive, and for a moment, when you see Warriors across the room, you can imagine you are in the past. You can imagine this is a happy moment.
His face sours.
Those around you start dancing.
You make your way to Warriors. Officially, you're here to get information. Unofficially? You are just here to check on him.
He meets you in the middle of the dance floor, hand held out in invitation. There is no joy in his face, only a polite mask.
You give your best smile and take his hand, setting your free hand on his shoulder.
Warriors puts his hand on the small of your back and begins to lead you in a waltz.
It's nostalgic.
"What are you doing here?" He asks you coldly.
You laugh because otherwise you'll cry. "Oh, just checking in. You know me."
"Don't lie to me," Warriors glares.
"I've never lied to you."
"Yes. You have."
"When?"
"When? I'll do you one better. My favorite lie was that you loved me," Warriors says as he holds his sword out at you.
You make a soft sound. "That wasn't a lie."
"If it was true, how could you choose to side with Cia and Ganon?!"
"I-"
"When push came to shove and you had to choose between me and the two people who torment me you chose them!"
"I chose you!"
Warriors laughs at that because the other option is to scream. "You betrayed me!"
You don't argue that.
He wishes you would.
The dance he leads you in is easy, the two of you move together in an ebb and flow you really shouldn't still possess...
If only he understood... maybe then this dance wouldn't feel like heaven and hell alike.
-------
You catch the downward swing of a blade on your own. Snarling, you disarm the shadow before kicking its feet from under it.
You stab your sword through the beasts chest with a vicious delight.
"Hands. Off," you sneer as ypu stare down at the beast.
The shadows writhes and shrieks as you pull out your blade.
You plunge your sword through it's stomach.
"What are -" Warriors tries to ask only to break into a coughing fit.
The shadow shrieks as it melts away into shadows to leave.
You turn around and drop your sword.
Crashing to your knees you cradle his face in your hands. "Are you okay?!"
"I - What?"
"You're bleeding!"
"Why do this?" Warriors swallows hard as he stares at you with wide, searching eyes.
"Because I love you, you beautiful idiot," you laugh bitterly. "Why do you think I do any of this?"
"You don't - no.... you don't love me."
"I do love you, but right now, you need a potion or something. Where are your friends?"
"I won't tell you. You'll hurt them."
"I will not. Where are they?"
"Stop acting like you care."
"Link. Where are they?" You ask firmly.
"The old water tower," he croaks out.
"Good," you say as you gather him against you. "We're getting you to your group."
-------
You go to leave once getting Warriors to his brothers and he just - he can't.
He can't stand you leaving him again. Not after you just showed genuine care for him. Your lips saying his name is enough to make him want to live.
He snags your wrist weakly and hopes it's enough. Like it used to be.
You stop, turning to look at him.
"Hero Boy?"
"Stay," Warriors begs.
That's what it is too, begging. He is a proud man, but when it comes to you, he will do anything.
You swallow hard. "You don't mean that. Your friends are right here, and you're safe."
"Did you mean it?" He asks.
"Mean what?"
"That you love me?" He asks.
He shakes. He can't imagine what to do with any answer.
If you love him, why betray him?
He can't stand you, not loving him. Hecan nott stand that being a lie.
You deflate, eyes falling to the floor. "Yeah, I mean it."
"Stay."
"After everything?" You ask him.
"We can't trust them," Sky grits out.
"Please?" Warriors begs as he tries to tug you closer.
"You don't mean that. You don't want me here, Link. You can barely stand to look at me most of the time."
"Stay. Please. Please stay," Warriors asks as his vision blurs, and he chokes back a sob. "For me?"
You make a sound of pure pain, butt you step closer to him. "Oh, sweetheart, I'd do anything for you."
------
You stay with Warriors for two days while he sleeps. The others are all tense and borderline hostile but you're not here for them.
It's in the middle of the night while Time is on watch that his eyes flutter open.
"Hero Boy?" You ask softly.
"You stayed," Warriors croaks out.
"You asked."
Warriorsgivess a weak smile.
You pull your canteen out and pass it to him, "Drink, Hero Boy."
"What's in it?"
"Just water."
Warriorstakess it and pushess up onto one elbow to drink the water.
"You meant it, right?"
"Yes."
"Yhen... why?"
You sigh. "You're sure you want to know?"
"Yes. Please. It's driving me mad trying to fight it out. We were so good and then you just up and run away to the people who hurt me every chance they get!"
"We were good," you say softly.
"Why leave then?"
You smile bitterly, heart clenching. "You won't like my answer."
"I've been spinning it in my head. Is it something I did?"
"No!No -- Never. It wasn't anything you did."
"Then why?" He asks you weakly, wide eyes that same crystalline blue that you miss.
You sig slowly as you look away. You gather your thoughts.
"I won't sit here and tell you lies or exchange, but please know it wasn't because I agree with Cia and Ganon. I - Fuck Hero Boy, you don't understand... I was given a shitty choice," you laugh bitterly.
You take several seconds to swallow your shame and out yourself back together.
"What choice?" He asks.
"I could join them and they'd make your death fast, or I could stay their enemy and they'd- well the things the threatened were worse than death... I couldn't- I couldn't let them do those things to you. Not to anyone but especially not to you."
"Why didn't you tell me? We won!"
"Think about it, after I switched sides hoe many times did Cia get near you? How many times did you get truly hurt fighting? You were always fighting me. Never them not til you were strong enough to win."
Warriors just stares at you. "I - That's- you did that... to protect me?"
"I did. I don't expect you to forgive me. If you want me to leave right now, I will."
"You... why?"
"Why what?"
"Why would you do that? If you were working against them and they found out.... You could have died!"
"Because I love you, and I couldn't let them get ahold of you."
"All this time... you were really just... protecting me?"
"Of course I was. Did you think I did it for fun?"
Warriors just laughs, "I thought it was my fault."
"Not even close, Hero Boy."
"Link," Warriors says. "Please, I miss you calling me my name."
"I should go. After what I just did they're going to hunt me down, and none of you need that," you say as you sigh.
"What?"
"I should go."
"I just got you back."
"What are you - you can't seriously still want me!"
"I have wanted you every day since I fell for you. Even the days where I hated myself for it."
"You can't be serious. I'm a monster."
"Your choices suck but you aren't a monster. You're still an honest and loving person. You never actually hurt me. You never hurt my boys."
"How could I?"
"We would have to work on things, but please stay. I still want you."
Reader is struggling with the stress of traveling through time with 9 heroes, luckily Warriors is there for them when they break down
Warriors was many things, a brother, a hero, a captain, one thing he wasn’t was ignorant. Sure, you could claim you were fine, but the hero was certain your definition of the word wasn't the same as his.
Of course, he wasn’t the only hero of the group to notice your off behaviour, it had become a talking point among the eldest of the heroes, but nobody could find a good way to approach the potentially sensitive situation.
Wild, bless his heart, and his ignorance; had attempted to fix the situation by bombarding you with baked goods. Warriors had tried to convince the hero that food wasn’t the issue, only to be met with a bold proclamation that “Food helps everything.” To his utter shock, it did.
You had sat around the cooking pot with everyone, spirits lifted marginally as you consumed the surplus of goods, going at the egg tarts with a ferocity Warriors had only seen in Mask and Tune after a long day. Warriors hadn’t seen your spirits that high in awhile, and he had to admit the Cook was right. (He would never say this to his face, the teasing from Legend may as well seal his fate.)
For the following days, Warriors hung around, slipping honey candies into your satchel when he thought you weren't looking. He wasn’t sure where the sudden onslaught of emotions came from, but the hero had his suspicions. (Such as a potentially very painful time of the month,) and it wasn’t until you shared a watch with him one night he finally decided to “Poke the bear” as Twilight had called it.
— — – — —
Your mood was no better tonight than it had been during the day, or previous days for that matter.
You loved the heroes, don’t get you wrong, but the constant travel, danger, and uncertainty was not on your list of things that were beneficial to your mental health. You had already struggled with a lot before the quest, but the unknowns of, would you live through this fight? Would you make it through the day? One wrong move and you could, and probably would, die.
All these weighed heavily on you, you weren’t sleeping well, you weren’t eating well, hell, you could barely function.
Warriors had been a comforting presence at your side through it all, all the boys had, but his presence especially was a grounding one. He never pushed, and never treated you like less just because you weren’t a hero; sure, there were things you couldn’t do, but he didn’t harp on these things like the others would, even if they meant well.
You rubbed the sleep from your eyes, stifling a yawn.
“You alright Y/N?” Warriors’ voice was tender, almost searching.
You weren’t, but you were too emotionally and physically exhausted to reply to the hero.
You shrugged.
Warriors shifted in his spot, tender gaze burning into your side. You so desperately wanted to lean into the hero for comfort, your heart aching at the idea of curling yourself up at his side, a want to be held by firm arms.
You felt the hot burn of traitorous tears threatening to fall, as your breath caught in your throat.
Warriors, the ever observant Link, noticed immediately.
—-
“Hey– Hey, are you okay?” Warriors asked, before mentally smacking himself, of course you weren’t okay, you were literally on the verge of tears.
He watched your hands shake, and felt every big brother urge fire up; wanting to wrap you in a massive hug, and make everything feel better.
“Y/N…” He soothed, hand coming up behind you, gently touching your back to gauge your reaction. When you didn’t react, he began rubbing small circles into your back.
And with that the dam broke.
Strangled sobs poured from you, he watched as you buried your face into your hands, your shoulders racking with each cry.
He wasn’t prepared when you closed the gap between you and sat closer, but he wasn’t going to miss the opportunity that presented itself.
Careful to not make you uncomfortable, he slowly draped his arm over your shoulder. He couldn’t know why you were upset, but god damn if he wouldn’t comfort you.
He sat with you as you cried, tears falling onto his precious scarf (it can be washed-)
He stayed with you as your sobs devolved into silent tears.
He stayed with you until you pulled away, eyes red and puffy.
“Thank you.” Was all you said, eyes turning towards the star speckled sky.
Warriors nodded, content with the knowledge that if anything, he at least had given a safe space to express yourself.
Wars x reader
Warnings: lap sitting, boners and a tad bit non-con touching.
“Watch out!!”
Wars quickly rolled out of the way, a large boulder crashing into the ground where he just was. The whole room shaking violently as he raises his shield, covering himself as more fiery stones rain down on him, threatening to crush him where he stands. He planted his feet, digging his heels into the rocky soil and using both hands to firmly keep the shield up as he tried to look for the others.
A sharp cry rang out and his feet started moving before he even knew who it was that had yelled. Through the flames he could see you crouched low on the ground, struggling to keep your shield over you as one of the larger rocks slammed down on you. Knees shaking as you fought to stay upright against the heavy weight before it hit the ground beside you. With a clear destination, he reached you in record time, sliding in next to you as he yanked you into his chest, shoving his shield up next to yours to create a larger barrier of protection over your heads.
“Are you hurt”
You shake your head, trying to make yourself as small as possible next to him as you both wait out the pseudo-storm that ends as quickly as it started.
Wars lowers his shield cautiously, helping you back up to your feet as a fire keese makes a dive for him. You quickly notch an arrow, shooting it down before Wars can get his sword back in his hands.
“Gods I can't wait to be done with this place!” Wars groans out, wiping sweat off of his forehead. “And if I have to see another one of those blasted bats I'm throwing myself in the lava!”
You snort at his dramatics, “You mean to say our mighty Captain can't take a bit of heat?”
Wars gives you his best smile, holding up his left hand that you knew had the large scar underneath. “Oh don't worry doll face, I'm hot enough for this whole mountain.”
You roll your eyes, giving him a playful shove as Wind calls you from across the room. “Come on guys! We found the exit!”
Everyone is quick to follow the young sailor along with Hyrule who lead you to the large exit in the other room. The midday sun stinging your eyes as you all crawl your way out from the depths of Death Mountain. Soot and dirt filled the air still far too warm for comfort. The only true reprieve being that there is no longer any active threat of being caught on fire or tripping into lava.
Layers of clothing were immediately pulled off the moment the opportunity presented itself. Cloaks and armour being the first things to go, followed by tunics, metal jewelry, shirts and any other fire protective clothing that was no longer needed
Bottoms stayed on. A hard and fast rule Time had set after a rather embarrassing incident a few weeks back that only some members of the chain were ever able to laugh about. Pants were exchanged for shorts though for anyone able to do so while most of the group settled for just settling with what they had.
Wars plopped onto a large boulder jutting out from the ground, rolling up the legs of his pants a bit before somewhat neatly storing his stuff inside of his bag. The smell of smoke was a pain to get out of clothes and Warriors groaned at the thought of smelling like a walking campfire for who knows how long. He just hoped that they would be able to do some laundry before the smell spread to his whole bag. Though he supposed if given the opportunity this very moment he probably wouldn't take it.
He was exhausted, and so was everyone else given the ways half of them were strewn about in various stages of napping which Wars was strongly considering joining in on. So he settled onto the ground, using the rock he had just been perched on as a backrest with arms loosely folded over his chest. He ignored the small rocks that dug into his legs, or how the rock was still a bit too hot against the bare skin of his back. He was just so damn tired that for once none of it seemed to matter. All that mattered was that his eyes were heavy, and his brothers were safe.
He did a quick scan of the group, mentally reassuring that they were indeed all safe as his eyes really only fell to you. You were a little off on your own and looked just as exhausted as he felt as you peeled off the last layer of your top to expose your bare midsection and a nasty red mark on your shoulder blade.
Oh you little liar.
With a new wave of energy, Wars shoves his hand into his bag. Rummaging through it till he finds the small canister of ointment and a large bandage before he moves to sit beside you. His fingers brushing your hair over your shoulder to take a better look at the blistering burn.
“Thought you said you were fine.”
“I am…or at least I was..” you murmur, pouting as you avoided eye contact with him.
Wars couldn’t help but chuckle. It was the same thing Mask used to do when hiding an injury from him during the war. The young hero, now grown ass adult a few feet from him, hated admitting that he needed help which had taught Wars to simply give it rather than trying to convince the kid he needed to simply ask for assistance.
Wars however, remembered a few seconds too late, that you were not Mask and was now stuck in a rather odd predicament.
Without thinking, he had reached over, scooped you right off the ground and straight onto his lap. Hands still poised around your hips as his mind began screaming at him the moment he physically felt your bottom press against the now growing strain in his trousers.
Oh no. Ohhhhh shit shit shit don't think about it. DON'T think about it!
Warriors took a deep breath, trying to remain calm while his heart rate skyrocketing. Hands quickly letting go of your hips like the contact had burned him worse than any of the fire monsters they had dealt with today.
You had gone impossibly rigid, hands placed down on his knees that kept some of your weight off of him. Spine so straight, one poke and it could snap in half.
Oh but you'd love to break her back under the right circumstan-
NO.
No. It would be fine. He was clearly just overthinking it. He was just trying to help you with your injury, nothing more than that. If he could just stay cool then there would be no need to panic.
You awkwardly turned your head to the side so you could see him. “Y-you don't have to-”
“It's fine,” He said with practiced ease. If there was one thing he was good at, it was hiding panic. And as you were already sat on top of him, it was too far to turn back now. “I don't mind.”
You nodded, still looking a bit skeptical but made no attempts to dissuade him. Taking that as a sign that you were indeed okay with him helping, he brushed away the lingering strands of hair and uncapped the bottle of ointment.
You winced at the initial contact, shoulders raised to your ears to try and flee from the coldness of the medicine. He tried again only to get a lessened version of the same reaction. It didn't deter him though, giving you a split moment before he gently rubbed it into your skin. His other hand, having found the curve of your waist, rubbing small circles to try and distract you from the stinging pain.
It didn't take long before your shoulders slowly dropped, the muscles along your spine relaxing enough till even your hands stopped supporting your weight. Letting you rest entirely against him as he applied more of the cream.
He had to bite the inside of his cheek to keep at bay the shiver that raced through him. Thinking of anything else besides the way your hips fit against his or how the goddess blessed curve of your ass pressed into him. And he definitely wasn't thinking about how much he wished he could just grab your hips and-
Oh Hylia he was so incredibly fucked.
He snatched up the bandage, having enough self control to apply it gently over the injury before practically shoving you off of him. Knees coming straight up to his chest as he prayed to Hylia that you wouldn’t see the large bulge you had just been sitting on.
“Uhm, thanks. That actually feels a lot better.”
“No problem.”
Neither of you looked at the other as Time called for everyone to start getting up. He watched as you walked off towards Four as he tried to come up with a quick solution to hide the rather obvious bulge. All he could think of was his shirt, so he begrudgingly threw it back on, wearing it loosely instead of tucked in so that it would hopefully cover it. And if anyone asked? It was simply to protect his skin.
_________
Wars sat on one of the tall bar stools in the Inns dining room, picking at the food he had been given though he hadn't taken a bite in probably 10 minutes. His mind too preoccupied with thoughts of you to concentrate on anything else.
He had avoided you like a pack of cuckoos the entire trek back down Death Mountain. Putting as much distance between the two of you as he possibly could until he could 1) calm himself down and 2) stop getting worked up every time he thought about it.
He was still working on that second one.
Adjusting his tunic for what felt like the 20th time that hour he sloshed back his drink, idling tapping on the now empty glass. The cool condensation sliding down to drip onto his fingers. Just like the way he could see the small beads of sweat roll down the length of your back. Wetting the plush soft skin underneath his fingertips despite the harsh environments. The way you fit so perfectly against him and Hylia the way your hips had moved. He wondered what sort of excuses he could come up with to get you on his lap again. Slowly building his way up till he could get you underneath him.
Wars hit his forehead, playing it off as simply trying to keep himself awake. He was still clearly exhausted, but after 2 hours of sleep evading him to replay the events of today in his mind on repeat, he decided to try and see if a snack and warm drink would help clear his head. Unfortunately it only seemed to have the opposite effect. Not only giving him space to freely think about you without the others around, but apparently encouraging it further into what could be happening if he ever decided to stop chickening out and admit his feelings for you.
Because he did. Not at first, though he has always found you attractive, but over time it was staring him in the face. To the way his stomach would do flips whenever you walked next to him, or how his heart fluttered at the sound of your laugh. And if you dared to smile at him? It was a miracle his heart hasn't stopped working.
He had fallen and fallen hard and it was infuriating.
He was the Captain, the strategist of the group that were all counting on him to keep it together. He couldn't afford to get distracted. No matter how badly he wanted to feel you against him. Grinding down on him so hard it-
He adjusted his tunic…again.
Its only gonna go away if you STOP THINKING ABOUT IT!
He crossed his arms on the counter in front of him, resting his forehead down with a frustrated groan. Might as well make himself comfortable here right? At the rate he was going it wasn’t like he was going to be getting any actual sleep soon anyway. A tap on his shoulder was followed by a thin hand resting on his bicep. He looked up to see 2 women standing on either side of him. Both had long brown hair though the one on his right with her hand on his arm had a much darker shade that looked almost black in this lighting. And both of them were currently looking him up and down like starving wolfos.
“Oh honey you are much too cute to look so upset.”
“Yeah, why so down handsome?”
Even with the odd tingling under his skin from where the woman’s hand was, Wars threw on his best smile for them, leaning back so that his arm slipped out from under her palm.
“No need to worry about me ladies.” He assured them with as much charm as he could muster. It was a poor attempt, one even they could probably see straight through yet it didn't seem to deter them as they both stepped a bit closer. One lightly grabbing his arm while the other dragged a finger down his shoulder.
“Awww, poor guy. We can always help cheer you up.”
“Mhmm I like that idea”
Gulping down the lump forming in his throat that felt too dry, he gently tried to push off their hands. Only for them to latch on to him again.
“T-that won't be necessary I can assure you.” He stammered out, stirring on his seat.
“Oh come on. What better way to get over someone than getting over someone else?” She whispered, tugging in his shirt a bit.
“Or between” The other purred in his ear and War's tried not to cringe at the proximity. He tried to laugh, playing it cool until he could slip away and go hide back in his own room with some of the others.
“Oh hey Ca- uhhh sorry didn't mean to uhh…interrupt?”
Maybe the Vet was right and Hylia did just hate them.
His neck spun so hard it cracked. Eyes wide as he saw you standing only a foot away in your night clothes. The ends of your hair still damp that left small wet patches on your shirt. Your eyes awkwardly shifted between him and the two women he was sandwiched between.
“(Y/n)! Hey, what are you doing down here?”
The two women finally let go of him, allowing him room to quickly beckoning you over. You come do so without hesitation, brushing right past the women who were now glaring at you with disgust.
“Couldnt sleep.” You stated, grabbing the hand that was still on his shoulder and flinging it off of him. “Figured I'd get a glass of milk or some. Why are you up?”
“Great minds think alike it seems.”
You hummed but your attention was still in the 2 women who seemed to need a more direct approach at being told to leave.
“Sorry, but can I help you?” You asked with a bite to your voice.
“Who us? We were just keeping your friend company.” Her tone eerily sweet as she tried to brush his arm again. You latched onto her wrist, shoving it away from him.
“How sweet of you. But it looks to me like you've overstayed your ‘welcome’ a bit. Have a good night.” You waved goodbye at them with a fake smile. Thankfully, they took the hint. Walking away with their eyes rolling and a short scoff.
“You have impeccable timing.”
“And you apparently really are too pretty for your own good.”
You both chuckle, the atmosphere around you lightening
“Can I buy you that drink for saving my ass?”
“*gasp* language Captain!” You tease, “but sure, why not.” You glance around, realizing that the only empty seats were on the other side of the room.
Maybe it was the lack of sleep or the drink he had earlier but for the second time that day, Wars brain didn't quite think through his actions. He snakes his arm around your waist, pulling you closer till you were between his legs and sat against one of his thighs. Unlike earlier though he made sure to keep enough space between you and him. Just in case.
You had other plans though. You leaned into him, wrapping an arm over his shoulders as you put whispered into his ear.
“Ya know Pretty Boy, if you want me to sit on your lap, all you gotta do is ask.”
Heat spread down to the tips of his shoulders and he gaped like a Hylian trout out of water. “I..I didn't…”
“I don't mind ya know,” the heat of your breath tickling against his skin. “There's a lot of things I'd do if you ask nicely enough.”
He swallowed dry air, that all too familiar stiffness returning beneath his clothes. “Yeah?” He whispered back, trying not to shiver when your hand lightly drummed on his shoulder. “Like what?”
He was playing with fire. Fire he should have dowsed hours ago. Weeks ago the moment he knew he had started catching feelings for you. But if you were the one to burn him he would run straight into the flames. So when you got to your feet, offering your hand to him he took it without question. Letting you lead him straight through the small room and up the stairs that creaked every few steps.
It was a blessing that Time has let you have your own room for the night. And a larger blessing that it only took a minute before you were opening the door and ushering him inside.
He could hear the door shut behind him as he strolled into the room. It was…a room. Bed, dresser, nightstand, everything a typical inn would have and nothing more. Feet planted into the wood floor it almost felt like he was back in training, standing at attention as higher-ups patrolled around to find any sort of flaw. He could feel your eyes on him as the distinct sound of the latch clicked into place.
“Well?” You asked. Fingers ghosting over his elbow as you came around to stand in front of him. “What do you wanna ask me?”
He cleared his throat, a bit nervous. “What can I ask?”
Your fingers left goosebumps on his arms as you ghosted over his forearms. “That all depends on what you want.” You explain, stepping forward till you were only an inch away from him. Wars lifts his hands, tapping his fingers against you as if to rest if he would be burned or not. But you were cool to the touch. A relief to the hot fire inside of him.
“Can I kiss you?”
You breathe out a yes, coming up on the tips of your toes to bring his face closer to yours. He grabs your face with both hands, lips ghosting over yours before kissing you softly.
It was soft, timid really. Not the kind of kiss you would expect from the group's so-called ‘ladies man'. But then again this was Wars and sure he could be flirty but deep down you couldn't recall a time he had ever tried to push for more than was given.
You deepened the kiss, swiping your tongue across his lower lip till he grants you access. He tastes like peppermint with the lingering hue of the alcohol you know he had earlier. You pull away, kissing a line from his mouth down to his neck.
“You could ask to touch me…or ask me to touch you if you prefer.”
“Surprise me” You chuckle at the slight trembling in his voice as your hands dipped beneath the edge of his shirt before lifting it up. He takes it off, tossing it aside before he reconnects your lips, hands beginner to roam up and down the curve of your sides. You sigh into his mouth, letting him snag your lip to give it a soft suck that makes you moan softly.
Pulling him towards the bed, you give his chest a soft push so he sits down, eyes looking up at you with a hazed curiousity.
“How about I take care of that little ‘problem’ you've had today hmm?”
His face is a bright red now which is cute as you grab his knees, pushing them open to slot yourself between them. Kneeling down on the floor as your hands rubb up and down his thighs. His breath hitching as he watches you unbuckle his belt, finger poised around the waist.
“Do you want me to stop?”
He shakes his head as you pull down, releasing his cock into the open air. Cheeks flushing as you lick your lips, dipping your head lower and lower till your mouth brushed against the sensitive skin. Wars titled his head back, gripping onto the sheets as your tongue licked him from base to head, swirling around the top before repeating the motions.
“Hah- shit.” He moans when your lips wrap around his head, slowly taking as much of him in your mouth as you can, using your hand the rest of the way till you reach the base.
Panting up at the ceiling, he leans back on his elbow as a hand comes atop your head that was now bobbing up and down. He stares up at the ceiling, knowing if he looks down at you, sees your beautiful eyes while his cock is in your mouth he'll be finished and goddesses he'd do anything to keep feeling your warmth mouth on him. But as you hollow your cheeks, sucking down harder he couldn't help himself. Fumbled curses leave his mouth as he looks down at you, his hips bucking up on accident that makes him hit the back of your throat.
“Fuck- s-sorry!”
Your eyes drag up to his, humming some sort of response that Wars has no clue the meaning behind. All he knows is he has to let go of your head, hand clenched so hard into the mattress his knuckles are white to keep himself from grabbing your hair and fucking your mouth.
He breathed out your name. “K-keep doing that and I-i wont last long sweetheart... ”
Hands gently grabbed your face, trying to guide you off but you swatted them away, pinning down his hips with a defiant stare that had him shaking. And when he felt the back of your throat again he came undone. Gasping your name as he came, watching as you happily drank it all down before finally popping off of him with a sly smile, wiping at the corner of your mouth.
Holy Hylia you were going to ruin him.
You opened your mouth for another snarky comment but yelped when Wars yanks you up to him, arms wrapping around your waist as he kissed you. He kicks his bottoms off the rest of the way, lifting your tunic off till it joins his clothes on the floor. His lips leaving yours to suck along your neck that made your knees go weak. Wars bends down, picks you up off the floor to lay you on the bed. Hovering over you as his mouth finds your chest, kissing the space between your breasts that were being massaged by deft fingers. Back arching when he pinches you nipple as they slid down to the top of your leggings.
“May I?”
“Please”
He pulls them down slowly, shimming himself down till he could kiss your navel. Hands spreading your thighs and without any warning his mouth is on your already wet cunt.
“Link~!”
Gone was the timidness from the first kiss. This man knew exactly what he was doing as he dived in, lips clasped around your clit to suck firmly. Your hand clutched onto his hair, tugging on it with the same force as his sucking as you panted.
“Should of done this hours ago” he murmured against you. The vibration of his voice only increasing the growing heat that seeped out of you that he was quick to lick away. “Goddesses you taste good.”
“Fuuuck! Link please I need you!”
“Eager much?” He teased. “What happened to asking nicely?”
“Fuck you- ha!”
Delivering a harsh suck he pulls himself up, kissing you gently. “Gladly.” You can feel him against your inner thigh, but a thought has you pushing against him, forcing him back till his ass hit the mattress. You crawled onto his lap, hovering just above the head of his dick that still leaked with cum and saliva. You teasingly slid down, letting it slide through your folds as Wars groaned.
You let your head fall to his shoulder, kissing along till you reached his throat. His arms wrapped around you, tracing up and down your spine as you slowly rocked your hips along his length.
“Seem a bit tense Cap, why don't you just relax and let me take care of you”
“Cant if you're gonna just keep teasing me like this sweetheart.” He said through gritted teeth as you lightly rocked back and forth.
“And you said I was eager~”
You pressed a kiss to the front of his throat, letting your tongue slide all the way up to his jaw. Wars shivered, grabbing onto your waist to try and lift you up. You let him, but stubbornly refused to lower yourself back down.
“Ah ah ah” You tutted into his ear. “Remember what I said? Ask nicely.”
You could feel his eyes roll, fingers digging into your sides as he tried to coax your hips back down. “Fiiiine,” He whined, letting his hands drop to your thighs, rubbing them apologetically. “Please?”
“Please what?”
“Can I feel you?”
Lips collided with his, capturing his bottom lip as you slowly lowered yourself on to him. The head of his cock prodded at your entrance before you let it slowly slip inside. You both moaned, hiding your face in his shoulder as your walls stretched to his size. You slid further down, going till he was completely buried inside of you.
“Holy Hylia. Youre so fucking tight” He groaned, pressing a few kisses to your temple. You stayed still for a few seconds, nipping at his neck before lifting yourself up and sliding back down, easily slipping into a slow rhythm
It only took a minute before the hero of warriors was a blubber mess beneath you. Moans and whines pouring from his lips as you kept up your pace. His hair a messily tossed around from when you had grabbed it earlier that completed the picture of the perfect hero being reduced down to a puddle by your touch.
You lifted your hips, letting him slide almost all the way out of you before slamming back down on him. Wars threw his head back as a loud moan was ripped from his throat. You smirked against his neck, doing it again and again, picking up your pace with each one.
“Fuck, please don't stop!” He whined, roughly grabbing your hips to help guide you up and down his shaft. You let him, focusing on your pace while sucking on the spot just below his ear. Hands dragging through his hair as you added a slight roll to your hips and you for a moment, you thought you had broken him.
Small tears rolled down his cheeks. His mouth hanging open as he heavily pants for air.
“Look at you, asking so nicely,” You cooed, watching the way he twitched at another rolled motion of your hips. “Keep making those sounds for me okay?”
He nods, whimpering as you praise him. His hips jerking upwards into you, slamming his cock further inside of you that hits just right. Your nails digging into his shoulders till the coil inside of you snaps. Liquid covering him and sliding down your thighs that burned as they continued to support your work.
“Shit Im..I’m…fuck (y/n) please~” He whined, hips jerking upwards again to meet yours.
“So polite” You teased, slowing down just enough for him to notice. “It's alright, tell me what you want.”
“Can I…? Please~, please I..Im so close”
“Since you asked so nicely” You picked up your pace, going faster than your original speed. Your walls clenched around him perfectly till tears ran down his face, mixing with the sweat that clung to his skin and now very messy hair. He brought his knees up behind you as he squirmed underneath you. You leaned down just enough to give another open mouth kiss to the front of his throat. “Cum for me? I wanna make you feel good.”
That was all he needed to tip over the edge. His body went rigid as you felt his cum squirt inside of you. You slowed your movement, working him through his orgasm until the exhaustion hit and you slumped against him. His arms wrapped around you, pulling you close as you both collapsed down into the bed. Keeping each other close as you're lulled into a blissful oblivion.
Sorry this took so long, my phone decided typing wasn’t a thing it could do anymore and my brother is too nosy for me to write on my laptop.

Wars + Wind
Winter traditions weren’t the same on Outset. It didn’t snow on the island, just as it hadn’t for the many years that came before. Warm waves frothed as they lapped against golden sands. The only cool thing was a slight breeze, which combed through the palm trees.
Wind knew it wouldn’t snow. But still, he found himself longing for the cozy days inside by the fire and the occasionally reckless days spent in the flurries of snow.
Even as you investigated his pouty lip and unusual quietness, he couldn’t bring himself to feel better. He couldn’t quite understand it. Logically, he knew it wouldn’t snow. Still, he found himself disappointed with the outcome.
“I just-“ He sighed, shrugging noncommittally, “It doesn’t feel like winter… It’s the same as it’s always been, but I-“ He shakes his head and turns away from the window.
“Don’t worry, i’ll shove you in a pile of snow when we get back to my Hyrule” The captain smirked, leaning against the door. You managed to throw him a soft glare over your shoulder as Wind grumbled (read: shouted) something threatening in return.
Oh how you yearned to see the two pelt each other with snowballs. Truly, it’d be amusing. Shame sand can’t hold its shape that well being thrown.
The two pause their exchange of school ground taunts at the sight of your pure and utter delight.
“I think we broke them” The sailor side eyes his brother, concerned. Wars inspects you from his side of the room before walking over. He grabs each side of your face to examine you further. His hands are warm. Comforting. Secure.
“If you kiss them i’m going to throw up” Wind’s face is contorted into something of a judgemental scowl, comical on his face. You both scatter off each other, garnering a fitting amount of cackles from the youngest hero. You grab him while he’s distracted, managing to tug both him and warriors outside in a fit of confusion and voice cracking shrieks. In fact, you drag them the entire way through outset and to the beach.
“Alright, C’mon you both. We’re making snowmen” Your victory is short lived.
“Really, hun? And how’d you suppose we do that” sassed by your own boyfriend… wow.
“Sandmen. You get my point” You roll your eyes and start gathering damp sand into a mound like shape. It
“Don’t just sit there, you were the one down in the dumps” You lovingly jab at Wind, who cracks a grin and gets to work adding sand to the lumpy collection of the body.
Between the three of you it was easy enough work, save for trying to stay out of the tide and avoid stepping on any sharp rocks.
In just over an hour, a sandman had formed. Adorned with little shell eyes and mouth, draped with seaweed and driftwood for arms, your sandman stood proud against the sea. The three of you sprawled out on the sand, basking in the waning warmth of the sun as it set. The sky was full of vibrant oranges and yellows, the sea waved the same colors back. Your stomach hurt from laughing, your arms were sore from wrestling the stiff sand. Your fingers interlaced with War’s, Wind half laid over you. The whole scene was magical.
Quietly, Wind was thankful. Not many people on his small island quite understood him. Not even himself. The weather was great, and yet he still felt sad. But with his two parents, he felt understood. Cared for. Loved. And that’s what winter was about, he supposed.
Legend
It was, however, really goddamn cold in Legend’s Hyrule. Snow, crystalline and white was packed thickly up to your knees, making any movement a challenge. The wind blew through you and scattered loose bits of snow on top. The rows and rows of apple trees are barren, and looked to have been for quite some time.
When you both finally managed to make it home, you practically fell into the doorway. But alas, it was cold inside too.
The cluttered home certainly did well to lift your spirits, but did little in preventing the onset of hypothermia.
“Hey” Leg’s voice pulled you from shivering. He sounded soft, warm in his regard despite the many times you heard him curse out the weather.
“I’ll see if I have anything here to help keep us warm, it’s usually not this bad” He smiles, wincing slightly as he flexes his hands. You knew even if he did manage to find some cloak or enchanted jewellery stashed away in the depth of his house, it would do little to soothe his aching joints. However, you knew no matter what you said, no one could get the vet to sit still for ten minutes while you tried to light a fire. Hylia herself could order him to sit down and wait, but you knew he’d never listen. It just wasn’t the person he was.
“Just- be careful, ok? Don’t overdo it. I’ll try to start a fire in the meantime” He nods, redirecting his familiar determination mixed with spite towards finding something to warm you both up.
You yourself began gathering wood from various places around the house to light a fire. Apparently, you’d forgotten that the wood you intended to burn should go next to the place you burn it. You were ever so in love with your past self, at the moment
Trips to the kitchen, paddock and small forger rewarded you with just enough wood to start a hearty fire going. It cast patterns on the wall, meeting and reflecting on the many weapons, souvenirs, paintings, photos and other such trinkets which lie mounted on the walls or placed onto shelves. It was comforting. Calm. A serene feeling of warmth, both literal and metaphorical washed over you.
Swift steps echoed through the house as your beloved pink-haired hero returned, blankets and cloaks gathered in a massive mound in his arms. They hit the ground with a soft whoosh, Legend grinning, proud he’d completed his task. He sits down, bracing himself on the fireplace and the floor, a pained look passing his face. Brows furrowed, teeth bared as his mouth pulled into a wince, it wasn’t what you wanted for him. The cold months made everything with his joints hurt worse. Even if he wore all his braces, used all his salves, worked an adequate time, the cold pierced through him.
“C’mere” You pat the floor in front of you and assist him as he shuffles over. Your hands cup each cold, pink cheek, thumbs brushing over their blushed surface. He melts into you, his eyes closing in comfort and contentment for one of the first times in his life. Your hands slide back to weave through his hair, delicately setting his hat off to the side. Wordlessly, you press him forward to lean against your chest, scratching his scalp and whispering soft assurances. His ears flush and wiggle, his head is tucked away in the crook of your neck.
Finally, you lean back, laying down on the floor. You drape the heavy collection of blankets, cloaks and quilts over you and he resigns to his fate. He’s a little achy, but finally he can settle.
“There we go, you can rest” Your voice regards him softer than anyone else has before. It cradles even the most pained parts of himself. From the scared child he started his journies as, to the paranoid hero who was constantly hunted, to the jaded man he grew to be, you placated him. He was never built to be so soft. He smiles, grateful you can’t see his giddy lovestruck face and tease him over it— let alone make it worse. It was dangerous to be this soft. And yet he’s never felt so safe. For the first time in a long time he feels like he can relax. There’s nothing else to do than lay here with you.
Four
But the harsh winter chill didn’t invade the fire-warmed forge. Hot fire burned in the furnace, settling a cozy orange haze across the metal surfaces of anvils, swords and well-used work tables. The light scattered, making abstract patterns on the walls and catching on fine strands of gold as a ringed hand tucks the hair behind his pointed ear.
Four was well accustomed to making things — whether it be for commissions or as gifts.
Yet, he never had so much trouble as he did this time. Something about the self-imposed stress of perfection or the fact that it was for you, someone he treasured so deeply, made the task of making your gift so difficult. It seemed no matter what he drew up, no matter at what angle he approached, no matter what style he emulated, nothing felt quite right.
“Too little” A brash voice would complain, “Something so simple- it’s as if we don’t even love them.”
And so he’d tear the page and start again.
“Too much” A colder voice critiqued, “It’s hardly practical for them”
And so he’d pick up his pencils and start another sketch.
“It’s just-“ A softer voice tried several times to rephrase before landing on his words, “Not them. It’s not a bad gift, not at all. Just not one right for them.”
And after a moment of hesitation, he nods and begins once more.
“It’s not your fault” The surest voice of the four finally speaks up in the middle of his newest sketch. Four sighs and allows himself to separate himself from his work for a moment. Papers are strewn about, odd markings in coloured pencil are scribbled across each design. The distinct handwritings overlap and splay out from one another where each and every one of his opinions dieviated.
Anger doesn’t find him, too burnt out for the fire to find its fuel.
His hand knots itself in his hair, tiredness gripping him finally. He’s about to shake it off and return to his work, to draw until his hand is cramped and his mind exhausted, but he’s stopped by a shuffling just outside the door.
“Link?” Your familiar voice calls quietly, not wishing to intrude on whatever breakdown you intruded on.
Almost shamefully he turns to face you, hunched over and afraid of what you’ll say.
“Why are you still up? Why are you still working- it’s been the whole day!” Your tone holds no real bite, though he can sense disappointment.
“I was just finishing up orders for-“ Your voice cuts him off before he can finish the lie.
“Oh shush. The only thing you’ll be doing is getting into bed and not waking up till noon” It’d be so easy to release himself from your soft grip on his upper arm.
Mentally, it feels impossible.
There’s quiet insistence— hope, even, that he’ll follow along. And he lets himself be dragged out.
“Besides,” The calm voice of his inner self rings out, “You’ll find good inspiration eventually” He smiled, suppressing a laugh. Lest you turn around and ask him what’s so funny. It’s nothing, truly —he’d say— just that he figured out his newest project. A ring.
Time
The coziness of winter didn’t seem to trickle through the whole chain, though. For, the Hero of Time himself was far too busy fulfilling the role of being elderly. Time travel paradoxes aside, Time had spent the first two weeks of the early winter season in bed.
His own stubborn ethic would normally call him to work until he dropped dead, so long as the jobs were done by the end of the day. But between his heavy limbs, dizzy mind and weak muscles, it seemed as if he had no choice. He huffed after finally sitting up, legs swung over the side of the bed.
The room felt excruciatingly cold, every uncovered piece of skin attacked by the frosty hands of winter herself. As he finally managed to stand, fatigue settled over him in a heavy blanket.
It was odd, he thought. Several times he’s lost so much blood he could’ve sworn he died. He was so familiar with the feeling. With pushing past it. But now? Now he couldn’t move? He’d laugh if his lungs could spare the air.
He was forced to lean on anything nearby in order to keep himself shuffling forward. Dressers, doors, tables, chairs… It didn’t matter so long as they helped him reach his goal. Admittedly, though, he did linger by the fire, given it was the only moment he didn’t feel like the chill of the dead season had settled in his bones.
After what felt like ages of fridged shuffles, he made it to the other side of his small cottage. The island provided him a place to sit, and the kitchen provided warmth as stew bubbles away on the stove.
“Link! What are you-“ You move quickly to scold him for leaving bed, a crime he committed quite frequently, but paused upon seeing him squint
“Sorry” Your sweet apology is better than any medicine to him. He can already feel the warmth returning to his chest.
…Maybe that isn’t a good thing considering his fever.
“Go lie down,” He opens his mouth to argue with your concerns “I know you’re hungry and your fever is coming back up,” Oh, is that why your hands were on his cheeks? “But you’ll get more medicine after you eat, ok? I’ll be done soon” He feels himself deflate and lean forward into you, resting his heavy head into the crook of your neck. It feels perfectly carved to his face.
“Miss you” He rasps, his own voice unfamiliar. It’s gravelly and almost hard to make out with how slow and slurred he seems to talk
“I know, I know” You sigh, finally resting back into him, leaning him upright. Your hand massages his back, where his tunic is just slightly stuck to his skin.
He takes a deep breath. It feels like his lungs don’t absorb any of it.
You lean back on your heels to tend to the stew and he feels your hands tugging him with you. As eagerly as he can, he stands, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his chin atop your head.
“No- C’mon, back to bed” You huff in amusement at his loopy affection, to which he takes great offense
“But I don’t want to” He sighs heavily in response, leaving himself to be dead weight if you don’t start agreeing soon.
“I want to stay out here, with you” He offers finally, after a stretch of silence. His torso rises and falls with the deep breath you take.
“Fine. But you’ll lay down and take a nap when you’re done eating.” He grins, tightening his grip ever so slightly.
Sure, some part of him would always nag to be productive, even at his own detriment. But having you to care for him after so long of being neglected by the world was too much a luxury for him to pass up. He could suffer another nap or two.
