This elf lady dollmaker didn’t quite work for Fjóla (no braids, and the closest thing to white hair was still definitely blonde...) but it did turn out a dazzling Watcher Lenneth!

Alignment, offspring, and sing for Violet and Lenneth?
Thank you, those were fun!
Alignment :: What would be their D&D alignment? How might it come into play?
Vi is Neutral Good (she’d tend towards Lawful except that I’m pretty sure the main law-giving authority she’d recognize would be Eothas and uh. She too is not unlikely to cause a little mayhem in pursuit of a higher good). Lenneth is…I think I said Chaotic Neutral at some point? Or possibly True Neutral. She has an altruistic streak especially where children or other vulnerable people are concerned, she can get quite protective; but apart from that she can also be very survivalist and concerned first with her own safety and not above a little lot of cons and deception.
Offspring :: What kind of parent would they be? Would they prefer one, or multiple?
They’re both big sisters which is a point in their favor as mothers. :-D Vi, especially, helped out a lot with childcare of the ten siblings younger than her, and has an excellent Stern Teacher Look for discouraging mischief, and even more excellent nurturing MomFriend skills. Lenni has only the two younger siblings and to be honest, her sister Briella was a lot better at the childcare for their baby brother than Lenni, who was mostly taking on the household provider role after the three of them were orphaned. And Lenni has all that lingering survivor’s guilt about recovering from the fever that killed her baby brother, which makes her a bit hesitant about raising kids of her own. She will, however, encourage childhood curiosity, mayhem, and fun once she gets a little more comfortable with her children’s actual resiliency!
Sing :: Do they like music? Do they listen often/sing/hum/play songs in their head?
Violet spent many hours hearing Lottie practice her chants in their youth and she’d also see a lot of crossover between her philosophy studies and the meanings in music. She’ll sometimes hum a folk song from her homeland while working on embroidery or even a more cerebral task. Lenneth’s early years involved a lot of hanging out in Rauataian taverns while her dad was performing there as a minstrel. She picked up a little of his skill with instruments (more of his tinkering skill, though) but especially gained a love of dance. In her travels since leaving Rauatai she’s built up a sizeable collection of danceable earworms from all the various towns and taverns she’s passed through.

More cute picrew character sheets for Watcher Wednesday! Watcher Lenneth; her past life Inquisitor Glynis; and Glyn’s best friend and Watcher Vi’s past life, Inquisitor Ianthina! With a bit of editing to get Lenn’s and Ianthe’s eyes the right color, and Glyn’s ear-fur to match her hair...
Jaded&Question for Vi and Lenni?
Thank you!
Jaded :: Do they buy into the “happily ever after” ideal? What’s their standard?
Well Lenni is a big fan of romance novels and despite some badly failed relationships in her street-rat days, still kind of years for the romantic ideal. She’s a little cannier about the odds and the risks nowadays but still hopeful.
Vi’s standard is probably her parents. A bit of [possibly scandalous? They’ve yet to really tell her details] romance in their past, ending with a really committed marriage…and thirteen kids. Vi, having been the big sister to ten of those kids, is a little skeptical about that part of a “happily ever after” but she certainly has a high standard of expecting the kind of support and teamwork from her partner that she saw between her own parents.
Question :: How often do they feel doubt? What topics are they defensive about?
Ha, well Vi has the philosopher background so she has juggled doubt on a pretty regular basis throughout her formative years and on. Which is probably why her faith in Eothas developed into something strong enough to survive everything she saw in the Dyrwood and Deadfire…I guess that would be a topic she’s defensive about? But…more like determined about.
Lenneth, on the one hand, doubts herself in a lot of ways – her cons have not often been all that successful and there’s the survivor’s guilt again, too – but then she’s made such a habit of putting on her mask of confidence that she kind of grows into greater self-confidence from it and comes to believe in herself more than she realizes. She’s most defensive about anything involving her family and sometimes things involving the demonstrated or likely success of her plans past and present. :-D

I'm looking at your OC page. Does Vi and/or Lennie take the "other" OCs adventuring as mercs?
Sometimes, sort of? XD Most of them are Vi’s siblings and I did once make them in PoE1 for group reference photos of a sort (oh those tiny sprites) and then made them in Deadfire CC just for better character models but I haven’t actually adventured with them in the party, just lots of photoshoots. Although I did hire Anselm as a merc in a replay of Vi’s PoE1 game that I have yet to finish and she hasn’t yet recruited a full party of the canon companions yet so he’s still out there ciphering away with her in the vicinity of Gilded Vale.
Vi’s siblings (and Anselm) (and Lenni!) are part of her adventuring party in my PoE fic though! :-D (Clan & Court and then the much-in-need-of-finishing Soul & Shield)
📚 - Lenni, 🧒 - Anselm, 🗣 - Ianthina?
Thank you!
📚 Storytelling – Lenni
She’s pretty good atthinking on her feet, coming up with a convincing story to get her out of a bind.At least, it’ll be convincing for the ten seconds it takes for her to disappearbefore the mark realizes the plot holes. 😊 She’snot so experienced in telling stories just for fun, though, and has such ahabit of lying that if she’s trying to tell a true story, just to recountto a friend something that happened to her, it typically gets embellished alot.
🧒 Taking care ofchildren – Anselm
He’s very protective and not very overtly affectionatewith his kids, but he makes every effort to spend as much time with them aspossible (early on this takes the form of the baby playing in Dad’s office at theWatch while Mom is busy organizing the Archives there) (that’s, obviously, theAnselm/Lottie version of the story, but the playing in Dad’s office partcertainly happens in the Anselm/Vi version too :-D). He’s fond of rules andexpecting kids to obey them, but also fond of carrying them everywhere, beingconscripted as their tea party guest, listening attentively when they chatterto him both before and after they’ve figured out how to produce coherent words, braiding their hair, changing their diapers (OK maybe “fond” isn’t the word forthat, but he doesn’t shy away from the less pleasant responsibilities), dryingtheir tears, and very thoroughly vetting (he is, after all, a detective anda cipher) any boys his girls want to date.
🗣 Public speaking - Ianthina
Ianthina is never easilydaunted, and also fairly regularly convinced that her opinion or interpretationof matters is the correct one. So she tends to speak with conviction andauthority in a public-speaking scenario. That authority grows considerably throughouther career, of course, since she ends up as the high priest of Berath. Theremight have been some butterflies in her stomach the first few times she had togive a sermon but only from unfamiliarity; she turned out to be quite a goodspeaker who takes the audience very systematically through her points and isnot particularly bothered by their response, whatever it may be.

@queen-scribbles tagged me a few days ago for the OC Face Claim thing and it will take me a while to put all of them together (or find face claims for some of them, heh) but let’s start on this fine Watcher Wednesday (er...it’s already Wednesday in some part of the world, right?) with Lenneth Morelli, either Watcher or just a Highly Suspect Person depending on the world state. Her faceclaim is Nina Nesbitt - perfect face shape for Lenni, and sometimes pretty close to Lenn’s usual hairstyle (then there’s that huge subset of Nina’s pictures with all sorts of different hair colors, and you know what, Lenneth totally would dye her hair fun colors if Eora has that option, so why not? XD)
Three of my favorite Lenneth refs on the top row; on the bottom we have Lenn’s PoE1 model, art by @rakiah, and a dollmaker Lenn from long enough ago that I don’t have a note on which dollmaker it came from (it’s somewhere in the Lenneth tag archives here, I’m sure).
I’ll keep posting face claims bit by bit, and also I have no idea at this point who has and hasn’t done one, but I’m gonna go ahead and tag @aban-ataashi @serenbach86 @lunarowena @risualto if you want to do yours! (or do additional OCs if I’ve forgotten that you already did ;-D) And everyone else, please claim a tag from me if you want to do this, I’d love to see your faceclaims too!
River Reed and Settlers Arrow for both Watchers!!! ^^
Thank you! River Reed is answered here for Vi and here for Lenn.
Settler’s Arrow:What’s your Watcher’s opinion on Waidwen’s Legacy (the Hollowborn Crisis)? Didit affect their opinions and decisions with Lord Raedric?
Violet was especially upsetby all the repercussions Eothasians in the Dyrwood had faced because of theLegacy, whether or not it really had anything to do with Waidwen. I’m sure thataffected her judgment of Raedric but I can’t remember much about that part, soearly in my first play through, beyond that she did kill him…
Lenneth, who is alwaysa softie for kids in need after being one herself and having to be the parentfigure for her younger siblings too, thinks it is HORRIBLE! All those babieswith no souls! All those poor disappointed parents! Also, all the crazy thingsgoing on in Gilded Vale and elsewhere in the attempt to fix the Legacy. Sheabsolutely pledged to Hylea at endgame. And I absolutely remember nothing ofwhat she did with Raedric. XD Killed him, I’m sure, because I can’t recall everresolving that differently, but I also can’t recall Lenn’s reactions there.
