Romeo wasn't sure if it had been a good idea or a bad idea to agree to a family dinner after such a long shift at work, and after such a strange morning. On one hand, his mind had been so busy throughout the day that it couldn't possibly have the capability to overthink his dynamic with his parents, and the fact that he was back in Cardinal Hill, and the way that he couldn't shake the odd feeling of dread that he felt, but on the other hand, Romeo was always more sensitive when he was tired - and boy was he tired after such a restless, nightmare filled sleep. All he could do was cross his fingers and hope that no undesirable comments were pointed in his direction; it's not like he was unaccustomed to nightmares, fatigue, and unpleasant feelings, after all.
Stepping through the front door, he was tense, though the immediate sight of his twin helped subside the uneasiness ever so slightly. "Hey Roo," they were a sight for sore eyes, even if their relationships had its own complexities. The safest Romeo had ever felt was by their side, and while that could have been commentary on either his relationship with Rooney or his lack of other healthy dynamics, it was something that Romeo held onto tightly in any moments of need. Before he could say another word, the jarring and uncomfortable high pitched squawks belonging to none other than Quinine echoed through from another room. "Typical; he could at least use his words," Romeo commented, though in hindsight, Romeo should have been glad that the parrot wasn't pulling out any of his typical comments that so often embarrassingly hurt his feelings.
