I know they're likely to lose because of how the poll is going and the popularity of their opponents, but the propaganda they sent out for Hazel and Fiver is so bad it almost made me cry.
It's not "just" that Hazel doesn't bully or I listen to Fiver (although that should certainly win them big brother points). Here are some things I remember:
-Hazel could have a better position since he is not a small rabbit (I remember he is compared to two of the elite rabbits) which would make his life easier He prefers to protect his brother and stay with him.
-Hazel and Fiver are the backbone of the community they found when they have to flee their home: Hazel has a whole arc where he becomes a leader and makes decisions based on what he learns from his adventure. Fiver is basically a psychic who helps them foresee danger. The one time they decide not to listen to him they almost end up dead.
-Hazel, despite being the oldest and the protector, has a couple of moments of vulnerability where he asks Fiver for help and he assures him that he trusts him.
-The way Hazel begins the journey and establishes her position has a lot to do with protecting Fiver when others doubt him and his vision.
-As Hazel has to take responsibility for more people than just her brother, it also means trusting Fiver more so she doesn't have to protect him at all times.
-Part of what shows what a great leader Hazel can be is the care she gives to Fiver and another of the smaller rabbits, deciding to protect instead of abuse and intimidate.
Basically the good and healthy relationship between them is what allows them to survive and get a new home. It is true that the other members of the group have important roles to play (Especially the storyteller) but they are the glue that kept them together and saved them and it all started because they were good brothers.
Hazel and Fiver propaganda! 👆
(Btw, please don't put down other people's propaganda in your own. Some people don't have a lot of time to write long propaganda or don't remember the book but know they love the siblings, so let's all stay nice and civil here please!)
