One of the gifts for Disney Television Animation for it's 40th Anniversary was a refreshment for it's three buildings.

MICKEY'S TOONTOWN refreshment with many Disney Television Animation nods to The Disney Afternoon are a celebration of Disney TVA's origins as the studio started with Mickey Mouse-Universe driven projects.

EXCLUSIVE: Thurop Van Orman,Pedro Eboli and Mark Satterthwaite Set Series Development At Disney Television Animation

After a day of animation reveals from the Annecy Film Festival we have some exclusive news as a aftermath, Disney Television Animation has set development orders for two potential new animated series likely for Disney Channel from three prolific creators.

One of the two new development.series come from the minds from Pedro Eboli (Netflix “Cupcake and Dino: General Services”,Cartoon Network LATAM “Oswaldo”, Nickelodeon “Ollie’s Pack” and Discovery Kids LATAM “Bada Bean”) and Mark Satterthwaite (Netflix “Cupcake and Dino: General Services”, Nickelodeon “Ollie’s Pack” and Amazon Prime Video “Gary and His Demons“)

Eboli had a overall development deal with Disney TVAon 2019-2021 however due COVID-19 cuts at Disney BTV, Eboli was dropped alongside Ben Baliresti and S.H Cotugno however Eboli has returned on June 2023 for a second chance with Disney TVA for a potential Disney Channel show.

The second series being developed comed from the mind of Thurop Van Orman (Cartoon Network Studios “The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack”,Dreamworks Animation Television “Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh“ and Sony Pictures Animation “The Angry Birds Movie 2“). The development of this series gets back on track with a rejected Disney XD pilot from 2016, the pilot was passed on 2016 alongside Very Important House and Douglas Furs due  a executive change at Disney Channel’s Worldwide on 2015-2017, meaning that the new Disney Branded Television CEO and Disney Television Animation VP of Development and Current Ayo Davis gave a second chance to Orman’s pitch and pilot for a potential Disney Channel show.

Disney Television Animation CEO Meredith Roberts Gets Promoted To Executive Vice President, TV Animation At Disney Branded Television.

Meredith Roberts has been promoted to executive vice president, TV Animation at Disney Branded Television, recognizing her outstanding creative and operational oversight of the Disney Television Animation studio during a period of significant growth after her promotion as CEO on 2018 replacing Eric Coleman.

Additionaly the studio has 1200 half-hours of animated content currently in production for Disney+’s and Disney TV Channels which some of them will be revealed at the Disney Television Animation Showcase Panel at Annecy Film Festival this Wednesday.

Under her new role Meredith will oversee the development of current Disney Television Animation shows alongside overseeing the development of sister studios: Disney Junior Educational Resource Group, Disney Europe Animation and the young adult animated projects of 20th Television Animation, additionaly she will oversee the development and greenlight of upcoming shows and films by the previously mentioned studios.

It's unknow if Meredith will still be the CEO of Disney Television Animation or be replaced in the upcoming weeks. The announcement was made today at the Annecy Film Festival by Disney Branded Television CEO Ayo Davis.

Disney Television Animation, under Roberts’ management since 2018, oversees development and current animated content and production for kids 6-14 and families, including traditional 2D and CG series, movies and shorts distributed around the world via Disney+ and Disney Channel. During her tenure (in 2020), Disney Television Animation earned more Daytime Emmy® Award nominations than in its 38-year history.

Roberts has been particularly instrumental in solidifying Disney Television Animation as the home studio for creative talent, including Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar’s BAR Productions (“The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder”), Laurence Fishburne and Helen Sugland of Cinema Gypsy (“Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur”, “Cookie And Milk”), Dan Povenmire (“Hamster and Gretel,””Milo Murphy’s Law”, “Phineas and Ferb”) and Natasha Kline (“Primos”).

This will be the first animated DCOM in 5 years since Tangled Before Ever After

Uknow if the film will be another original movie, School For Sensitivty Souls or a film based on a Disney Channel animated series probably it’s the latter.

Disney Branded Television Has Promoted Sarah Finn To SVP Of Production Of Disney Television Animation As Studio Focuses More With An All Female Lead Leadership

Disney Television Animation has promoted longtime Disney exec Sarah Finn to SVP, Production, from her most recent VP role.

Finn will now be responsible for leading all of the physical production for the Disney Television Animation studio’s content for Disney+, Disney Junior and Disney Channel. She reports to Meredith Roberts, SVP/general manager, Television Animation, Disney Branded Television.

Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television, said, “Sarah has a comprehensive knowledge of animation production, keen attention to artistic and practical details and strong people management skills. Now, as Meredith’s second-in-command, our entire team gets the benefit of their talent and dedication to upholding the most revered animation legacy in the world.”

Series under Finn’s new remit include the upcoming Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Alice’s Wonderland Bakery,Hailey’s On It, Kiff ,Primos, Untitled Preschool Treasure Hunter Time Traveler Series,The Witchverse, Point Grey Pictures Darkwing Duck and Firebuds, as well the critically acclaimed The Wonderful World Of Mickey Mouse, the Daytime Emmy-winning and Annie Award-nominated comedy Big City Greens, the Annie Award-nominated The Ghost and Molly McGee, and the Peabody Award-winning The Owl House.

Finn will also oversee the work from Disney TVA’s sister studio Disney Junior Educational Resource Group who includes the upcoming series Pupstruction, Eureka as well as current shows like the critical acclaimed Mira Royal Detective,The Chicken Squad,Puppy Dog Pals and T.O.T.S. Tiny Ones Transport Service as well the collaboration with sister studios Marvel Studios with Spidey And His Amazing Friends and The Muppets Studio Muppet Babies

Over the past months Disney TVA has become one of the first Disney divisions with an almost all female lead leadership.
