I wanted to post this on the Summer Solstice, but I fell down an editing well. ;)

Anyway. There’s good news and bad news. The good news is that I’ve begun posting the final story in the “We Begin Again” series. The bad news is that it’s going to be posted as a WIP over months.

I know, I know, it’s super aggravating. If you don’t read WIPs, just use the “Subscribe to Story” feature on AO3. You’ll receive notification when it’s complete. I’ll post updates here too.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy. The prologue is told a bit differently. But we’ll return to our regularly scheduled POV Arthur and POV Merlin shenanigans in chapter 1.

Story summary:

Now that Merlin and Arthur have dealt with Arthur’s return from the dead, and with their mutual love for one another, and also with that mild inconvenience of having to save the Northern Hemisphere from an ancient magical foe, they're finally able to live their lives like any two normal people in love.

All they want is to forget the past, to have a long indulgent holiday road-tripping around the world seeing the sights together as a newly engaged couple, and to get married in Avalon the coming summer on the Solstice.

Surely, that’s not too much to ask. I mean, things always went totally to plan for them before, right?

Story contains: Banter, humor, misadventure, old friends and new friends, canon-level peril, fluff and feels, a happily ever after at the end, and love. Lots and lots of love.

i've recced @katherynefromphilly's We Begin Again series before, but yeah. read it!! SO worth your time. this quote is from Our Destinies Our Own (the sequel to And like the cycle of the year, we begin again): "That's the way I love you. Like the earth loves its magic."

makes my earth tremble, for me specifically. couldn't decide on one mood, so made two wallpapers for this one! i feel like the first one captures that earth shattering feel, while the second one is more peaceful, closer to the way it was said in the actual fic.

So... In the midst of my uni exams it sort of happened that I found myself with a printed hardcover version of one of my favourite fanfic.

Specifically this is the one and only And like the cycle of the year we begin again by @katherynefromphilly .

THIS IS A BEAST.

Like when I tell you that me n my friends have a running joke of me not knowing how to read because I struggle to finish a 100 pages book, and this is my go-to length of ff, that I finish in like 3-5 days.

And while I was editing the pdf for the pages I was like "yeah, I'm probably gonna do something like a bundle book, encompassing all of the we begin again series, I mean the first work is only 200000 words, I want a chonky book".

This shit has 705 pages.
