they’re beautiful. All their intricacies. The soft wood and its glisten, the sounds it makes and its reactions, every click and slide, the unity of tree and metal, the power, the way it snuggles into your hands so perfectly.

She’s power. She’s grace. She’s a combination of subtlety and brute force. And she’s all yours.

They respond to your touch, they work just for you, and I think they love you.

there’s something intimate about sliding a shell into the slot, then ejecting it. Something about the way they smoke, panting after expending their energy.

It’s beauty.
