Wendelstein Church Covered in Snow ~ A landmark located at the top of the city of Wendelstein, Bavaria, Germany, it is used as a wedding chapel and is considered the tallest church in Germany. It’s noted, though, that in the ecclesiastical sense, there are taller churches in Germany where mass takes place. Still, it’s an extremely beautiful scene.

A Wee Kirk o’the Heather Wedding Chapel
Las Vegas bills itself as the “Wedding Capital of the World”, and for good reason, as over 5% of the annual weddings performed in the US in any given year taken place in Clark County (contrast this with the county’s percentage of the US population, which is less than .01%). This started in the 1930s, when the Nevada legislature passed a marriage law allowing couples to obtain marriage licenses on the spot with just an ID and the fee for the license, with no waiting period or blood tests as every other US state required at that time. In 1940, the “Wee Kirk” became the first wedding chapel to open in Las Vegas, and it is still performing several marriages every day. Among the Chapel’s most popular offerings is the “Love Me Tender”, in which you can be married by an Elvis impersonator for under $200. Listed among the features of this package is “Elvis sings 2 songs (his choice)”.
