Then they have to put a ring on each other.

And then they exchanged their amoks with each other!!!

Now, he totally belongs to her.

Okay i put this in the tags on my last post but i had a big brain take. Masquerade wedding. Like a masquerade ball. But a wedding. Everyone shows up in in masks (the fun kind and if it's still pandemic the not fun but important kind too). The invitations instruct people to do their best to disguise themselves. Make it so even your close family doesn't know. Everyone is having, fun having a ball, (lmao sorry not sorry for that pun) dancing and socializing and trying to guess who is who. BUT. The important part! Is they don't know who is getting married. And they don't know who they are marrying. The invitations were slightly secretive right? To keep in the theme of it all. But enough that they knew it was a real invitation. Maybe signed your cousin M but you have three cousin m's but you know two of them use that signature as a joke or what not. You can guess but maybe not know. Maybe have the engaged couple entrust a few of their closest sworn compatriots (family, friends, co-workers, whoever that might be) to send out some invitations on they're behalf. So people are getting it from their friends, grandma, their younger sibling. The invitations say please come to the wedding, not our wedding, we would love to see you there. And it's not a lie but it's misleading.

And anyways everyone gets together in disguise it's and amazingly fun time, they meet new people and they get along mostly cause the atmosphere is fun and tensions are lowered. And then the couple gets married. And they're all happy even though they only know half the party probably they think maybe. The disguise makes it hard.

And why am I thinking about this? Well I realized it could be a great way to bring two people together when there might be tensions between the families (a la romeo and juliet perhaps) or the couple is worried since maybe they're gay and they want a family wedding and they think their families are accepting but they're not out or so so so many other reasons. But it could give the chance to invitie the people you want without worrying. It's no garuntee of course but the concept is also fun. I just think it could offer quite a few possibilities and be extremely romantic at the same time. I mean who doesn't enjoy dressing up on occasion however that dressing up may look like?
