Day 50 to 54

I’m late to update this again. And there’s not much to write. So from now on I’ll just do week updates summarizing everything and only do day updates if there’s anything interesting. Basically Monday whiled away in doing small work (fixing up the presentation and such) and the Nataraj presentation was on Tuesday. I asked if I could go along, hoping to see them pitch to the client, but they blatantly said no. I guess they don’t take interns to presentation. Wednesday I was told that the client loved everything other than the pack for the classic range of pencils. Because they’re stupid and don’t understand design. Simple, bold and striking didn’t work for them so now we have to try something along the lines of playful and fun. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday went in trying to come up with ideas and looking for references for what we could go with. I made a few designs, but we still have to wait for Brendan to talk to them about the classic range. He was pissed that they didn't understand why it was good. Oh well, all we can do is wait. My senior and Brendan are both out of town next week, so I basically will have no work. Sigh. Hey we went for sushi this friday and it was pretty damn good. There’s something interesting. That’s all.

Day 44 to Day 47

Basically I was too late to update the blog and don’t remember what happened on each day (not much happened anyways) so i’ll summarize the entire week. We showed our printed designs to Brendan on monday. And well, he pretty much didn’t like a lot of things. He said the ranges of Nataraj pencils should look different from each other and yet all over belong in the same family. We didn’t achieve that yet and had to spend time working on the brand architecture and defining what each range shows. After working on the designs from monday to wednesday, we just had to add some ideas and definitions to the presentation on thursday, and we were pretty much done. We showed Brendan the presentation on friday, AND HE LIKED IT. We got it. Finally. This will be presented to the client on tuesday!

Last treatday for the next 5 days

I’ve had a milkshike and some chocolate but that’s it. The next couple of 5 days I need to eat healthy, treat my body the healthy way and just be more organised. I know you can eat with moderation but I’ve been having cake, chocolate and other stuff non stop the last week. Let’s see how this goes...

Deze hele week is laatste dingen. Laatste keer Odeon Cinema. Laatste keer Stables. Laatste keer eten in Locke. Vandaag is mijn laatste dag en de tijd is echt (cliché) gevlogen!

Tak tato hláška mi visí nad stolem a má mě postrkovat k všemožným činnostem a vždy když zvednu hlavu, měla by mi připomenout, že život utíká hodně rychle.

A BOHUŽEL JE TO PRAVDA.

Život utíká hodně rychle. Když mi bylo 18, tak se mi zdálo, že je vše docela daleko. Čtyřicátníci byli hrooozně staří a děti ? Na ty ani pomyslet… “Co blbnete, vždyť je mi 18.” Vše jsem měla teprve před sebou. A děti ? Ty jsem chtěla mít až mi bude tak šestadvacet, dřív ne. Do té doby jsem měla hodně plánů a hodně jsem toho chtěla stihnout.” A těch šestadvacet se mi zdálo také jako vzdálená budoucnost.

Stihla jsem toho hodně, to je pravda. Ale stále mi toho hodně chybí. :-) Je ještě moc věcí, které bych chtěla udělat, vidět, zvládnout, překonat a tak. To se asi nezmění ani až mi bude 90. Stále budu mít hlavu plnou snů a plánů.

Přistihla jsem se, že občas přemýšlím nad tím, jaké by to bylo, kdyby by mi bylo zase 18. Nevím proč, ale je to tak. Najednou si uvědomuji, jak to všechno rychle uteklo a jak bych teď hodně věcí udělala jinak. Jak bych tenkrát udělala to a to, místo toho a tamtoho.

A vždy, když se v tomto začnu hrabat, uvědomím si, kolik toho ještě musim udělat a stihnout i když mi už není 18. :-) A tak mě tato hláška zase vrátí zpět do reality a já jdu rychle něco tvořit, abych jen tak neproseděla den sněním o něčem nereálném a vzdáleném. :-) I když… Kdo sní, ten žije.

Teh Week.

This week has been poor for writing to say the least. I should really be capitalizing on the shitty feels I've been having recently, but I just can't bring myself to put that into any of the writing I am working on at the moment as it all seems to be more Happy :P. Oh well, I'm sure once the dust begins to settle a bit I'll be able to re-focus my Hyper Mega Writing Beam again. I hope so :P

New Website!

This week I have been working in multiple fun projects, New updates to my portfolio have been rolling during the week with old assets I crated in school last year. 

I've been experimenting with Cinema 4D renderer and I love it! really easy to create basic materials and lighting setups compared to maya.  Love the real time preview of the material you are creating.

Cinema gives me a way to achieve the "look" I'm looking for for my portfolio, so you will be seeing a lot of old assets being re-rendered looking more alive and delicious!
