Interesting. So you don’t think if an 18 year old addict’s father dies in a brutal and shocking way there’s a chance that might put their sobriety in question?

Addiction, depression, all these things All American does — they do them well because they weave these things into the fabric of their characters. They are not plot devices they are character traits. It’s not an after school special of the week it’s who these people are. It would be a disservice to the character to not broach the topic.

Now that Liv hasn’t drank for awhile, are we supposed to just forget she’s an addict? Or do we want her to be a complex breathable character who is going to ebb and flow within the confines of how she was written?

Also if she were to start drinking again are you saying that would ruin her character? Why? Geninely asking because that feels bordorline like saying someone struggling with addiction is a ruined PERSON.
