Lightning struck a tree outside my neighborhood, I collected quite a bit of wood and used the charred bits to write a sigil, "I will receive the job I desire". The day after something I have been REALLY WANTING to happen, happened. Our freeloading roommate very suddenly and dramatically was kicked out. Is it possibly my messy sigil was powerful enough to cause this stronger desire to happen? Even though it was directed to getting a job?

I wouldn’t say the sigil would be the cause, because that’s not the point of sigils :)They’re supposed to be a representation of an idea that sneaks into your unconscious. So unless you incorporated that into the sigil, it wouldn’t manifest as something completely different.

What could be a possibility is that, well…you used a highly charged (pardon the pun) natural item. Is it possible it charged the space you reside in and maybe that raw power spilled it’s manifestation juices all over? Definitely.

Could that “lightning doesn’t strike twice” timing and energizing properties that also corresponds with sudden dramatic destruction lingered a bit in your mind while channeling magical energy? Of course.

And bringing it home, maybe it charged the other people in the home as well. Giving a little spiritual boost to these internal thoughts.

Things manifest in odd ways. Is it magic, fate, coincidence? That’s up to you to decide. Now, let me know if somehow through her being kicked out a door opens and you get that awesome job, because then you killed two birds with one stone and you better guard that shit 😂

I haven’t been able to use lightning struck wood, but I’ve used wildfire wood and if it’s similar, play nice with it ;)

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve either used, or considered using in witchcraft?

Witches tend to collect the most random stuff and I want to hear about what you’ve gathered in the name of witchcraft 😂

For me, I was severely tempted to collect coyote scat in my front yard 👀

Mrs-k-cottage-witch here! The strangest ingredient I have ever used in a spell was either glitter (craft witches love glitter) or a glass vase-filler bead instead of a crystal because I was out and I needed to make the spell! It was used to amplify the power of the spell and reflect it back. Not too odd but it worked. Now I use more natural ingredients, but witches on a budget make do!

Girl I feel you 😂 I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, Witchcraft is a tool of need.When you’ve got a need, necessity is the mother of invention and I’ve had my fair share of budget witch stuff. Dollar stores and thrift shops for the win!

This Weird Witchcraft Thing is My Favorite Thing.

So when I made the post honestly I expected like maybe three responses, but they keep coming and they are all amazing.

Seeing these items you don’t think “witchcraft” when you first read them but seeing people’s uses for them is awesome. Plus, it makes me feel better about the weird shit I use in my craft 😆

Weirdest thing I've ever used in witchcraft? No one thing is very strange but I once used a combination of nettles, cow dung, spiderwebs, and sap for a curse. I had a bunch of friends participate by holding the object and "thinking itchy thoughts".

That sounds positively horrendous and I hope they deserved what you sent their way lol.

And you must have some pretty awesome friends if they’re willing to hold all that shit for you (pun intended) 😂

Maybe that’s what stopped me from gathering the coyote scat: I didn’t have friends to hold it for me ;)

Hi, I personally love chilli and I'm positively sure that @will-o-the-witch could reach a different state of consciousness with :D Also I already used hot curry (powder or a decoction with a paste) when dancing to increase my internal and external heat and help the magic to grow ^^ It works soooo well!I think I'm not original like you guys, the weirdest thing I used is maybe a little crocodile cuddly toy! But my magic work is partly based on dreams and my childhood :)

That’s awesome! Your external curry actually kind of reminds me of a muscle/pain salve I make!

And I think stuffed animals are great in the craft. Especially if they have a zipper! Yeah they may be cute, but it’s still a representation of a person/animal. You do you boo!

And I guess you’ve got another vote of approval for your demon of hot sauce mouth rocket to the astral @will-o-the-witch 😂

Don't know if it counts as "used" but I may or may not have cleansed and enchanted Dungeons and Dragons dice after a night of nothing but critical fails 😂

👀I mean, anything to tip the odds in your favor right 👀 and if you did better next time than hey! If it works, it works!
