For fond backround people I really miss Jiang Cheng's kids. He had adopted about 15 orphans after the war and was a grandad to their kids and a great grandad to their kids and a great great grandad to their kids and- well you get the idea.
He also kept adopting new kids over the years too which made his family tree super fucking confusing. I think he raised over 50 kids in total. They were all amazingly talented people, I hope this at least reaches one of them. I want you to know I'm thinking about you! - Wei Ying

heavy sigh... the donghua is almost over and it seems like, as always, the end of all the "popular" adaptations is where they completely fuck everything up since they have to censor the explicit gay romance (and also censor my moral ambiguity).
jin guangyao was not evil to the core (lol). he was an antagonist, and made many terrible choices, and did unforgivable things.
i did too. and he was not involved whatsoever with the terrible choices i made, or the unforgivable things i did. our separate stories just happened to coincide in similar times, with similar enough "evils" between us that the cultivation world at large decided there could only be room for ONE cultivator supervillain, and jin guangyao was fresh blood in the water - at least, compared to my stale laundry list of crimes. he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, constantly, much like i was. and he was torn to shreds for it, much like i was.
my sins are my own. his sins are his. i hate that these popular adaptations absolve me of mine by just giving them all to him. please - he's been through enough. - wei ying 🍦🐇
