My opinions on season two of Wednesday.
I miss Xavier Thorpe. And I know it is highly unlikely. But I think that he should come back for season three. It’s what Percy and us deserve.
Where was Ajax’s rage? He should have burned Enid’s stuffed animals in front of her. Ajax should have gotten revenge on Enid for treating him like shit. It’s only fair.
With the way she treated Ajax. I don’t understand why we should feel sorry for Enid when it’s revealed that Bruno was cheating on his girlfriend with her.
I also don’t understand why Pugsley wasn’t marked for death from the start. He is Wednesday’s brother. She spent part of season one trying to clear Gomez of a murder that he didn’t commit. If they wanted to make it personal. Then Pugsley was the way to go. Plus. I just don’t care about Enid anymore to give a shit whether she lives or dies.
Marilyn Thornhill and Isaac Night are like a good 30-50% of MCU villains. Blaming the Addams’s for everything and never taking responsibility for their own actions.
I found Larissa much more bearable this time around. Probably because she wasn’t a complete blockage to Wednesday’s activities like last season.
I was wondering when the franchise would reference the Winchester Gene. And I have to say. I wasn’t disappointed that it was isaac and Francoise Isaac. But I still like to think that Gomez and Morticia are at least third or fourth cousins on Hester’s side.
On a similar note. I am now wondering if this means that Tyler and Wednesday are related because Thing is technically Tyler’s uncle. I’m still a Wyler shipper. I’m just curious.
Where. The fuck. Was Bianca? Seriously. She disappeared after episode seven. I don’t give a flying pigs shit about Enid’s pity party. I just want Bianca back.
My current ships are wyler, wavier, wenclay and wenjax. And I am anti wenclair.
In a personal ranking of the new characters. Agnes is the first by default. The rest of the new ones are supercilious assholes. Especially Hester.
I still think that Morticia, Hester, Isadora and Ajax’s actors should have been allowed to keep their natural British and Welsh accents. Just for some variety.
What was the point of Barry Dort? Gomez should have been the new principal. Not some vacuous pyrokinetic pale and pathetic imitation of Randall Boggs.
Why was the body swap bullshit an hour and nine minutes long when the finale was only 48 minutes long? 42 if you don’t count the credits which were 6 minutes long.
Why did they ruin Eugene’s character? He wasn’t such a stuffed shirt in season one. If they did a three year time skip to match the real world it would have made more sense. The personality just doesn’t work with the in universe time skip.
Was Lady Gaga really necessary? She was just there for a few minutes to force Wednesday to gain a perspective that she didn’t need. I mean. Larissa could have done that.
I still don’t buy the fan pairing of Morticia and Larissa. Larissa’s point of contention with Morticia is that they were both in love with Gomez and he fell for Morticia instead of Larissa. It has been like this since season one and I will not subscribe to the contrary.
Tyler needs to be a part of season three’s dance sequence. And it should be the mazourka. I just think that it would be a fun little mythology gag.
I don’t trust Isadora and I think that Tyler should kill her and ask the Addams’s for help at the very first chance that he can possibly get.
All in all. A solid 8 1/2 out of 10. It loses points for annoying new characters and no Xavier.
