Gay panic successfully unlocked 🔓
Parallel: the mom saying to her gay son that he can date a man because his happiness matters more than anything. When Oranges Fall (EP 10) // Rearrange (EP 9)
"The rainy season is the most unpredictable season of all. It doesn't just bring the rain... It also bring rain-soaked memories of youth. And for some people, the rainy season might even bring their first love. The kind of first love they never forget." (episode 3)
Augar is a little bit upset because Ko Neung is spending a lot of time with Ko Song. He feels like he is losing his friend, but it's because he doesn't know the difference between Ko Neung and Ko Song's relationship compared to the one he has with Ko Neung. He doesn't know yet that they're experiencing first love. Nevertheless, it doesn't change the fact that he doesn't like it. Augar is always saying to Achi that he keeps him company because he doesn't want him to feel lonely and I feel like this is his own fear: feeling lonely. Achi is quite good at understanding Augar and I bet he offers him to be his "close friend" because he doesn't want him to feel lonely, and also because he has a massive crush on him too.
Ko Nueng with oranges - Episode 1 / Episode 2
The oranges are really the MacGuffin of this series.
There is something about a lot of Newj's series that he is the only one to be able to make. I think it's just that I really like the way he always portrays beautiful friendships. I'm always eager to watch his work because of that. Not everything is perfect, but the way he shows friendships, genuine friendship and queer friendship that always feel right to me. It really shows the beauty of it.
