Francesca was angry at the death of her husband. And especially, she was angry that Michael, the man she considered her closest friend, instead left her at this mourning. . After being reasonably reminded by Colin Bridgerton, Michael finally realized that he had to marry Francesca. And now it was Francesca's turn to be afraid and hesitant to accept Michael's proposal. After his insistent efforts and tactics didn't afford satisfying results, finally Michael heartily expelled Francesca. And Francesca is a wishy-washy woman who didn't know what she wanted, came back again and agreed to marry Michael. . Francesca just realized that she loved Michael when he was dying. Ugghh... I gave this book 4 stars because honestly I don't like Francesca's character, she's too mellow and fickle (she doesn't know what she wants).
