In Albertville, France, a biogas plant uses whey left over from making Beaufort cheese to generate energy. The whey is fermented to make methane gas, which then helps produce electricity. Smithsonian reported the plant could make about 2.8 million kWh each year, enough for a community of about 1,500 people.

This morning, while I was zoning out in the shower, the thought of a cup of whey made me turn off the water

so I made cheese again (tvorog recipe from the witcher cookbook)

last time I threw out the leftover whey because I couldn't figure out a use for it, but I felt like that's a massive waste of a good source of protein. this time I decided to try putting some gamersupps (not sponsored) into the whey after the cheese was done

needless to say I have a pretty good protein drink for my next few workouts (and obviously some banger cheese)

pretty sure the little bit of salt from making the cheese is also electrolytes or sth so I think this might genuinely be banger for a workout
